St Louis Travellers Again

When you return to a location again, something went well. That is exactly the case with Sandi and her condo. Please look at the photos and know they accurately reflect this condo. It has even been updated since our last visit. Everything worked perfectly (air, washer, dryer, dish washer, elevators , etc.) The view from the 19th floor is spectacular. The condo is well stocked, clean and comfortable with great beds. The complex is family friendly with plenty of parking as well. Everything you need for a great vacation is nearby. Shell Island right down the street, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, amusement parks, airport, all close by. Remember, this unit is located in the newer E building. We look forward to returning and Sandi is a pleasure to work with.

Thanks again for a great vacation.

Could have been great...

  • 2 of 5

The condo was perfect & very clean. Views were spectacular & having all the bedrooms open to balcony was a huge plus. Sandi was also very accommodating & pleasant to work with. That being said, we will never stay at this complex again. There was construction.. namely new tile being installed on all walkways while we were there. When we first arrived, the guard said there was some minor construction in the lobby, which due to the elevators being there it was a small inconvenience. However the 3rd day they began on our floor & the one above us (19 & 20). There was hammering & sawing that began each day (even Saturday) around 7:30a & continued non stop until 5p. This was no fault of the owner's, but made enjoying our condo impossible. They left an approximate 6 inch area along the wall to walk on - which is impossible when you have a rolling cooler or are over 6 inches wide! The workers were rude & confrontational & even went as far as to tell us at one point we could not come out of our condo until they cleared us. When we refused to stay put, one followed us all the way to the lobby simply to harass us. They also, commandeered one of the only TWO elevators for 21 floors. This caused major hold ups getting elevators not to mention over crowding of the one, which is dangerous. Dunes of Panama Management was called & did nothing to change it for their many Fall Break guests. The owners' were apparently told it would start in November, but instead it began Sept 30th (posted in elevators & on property). If we had known ahead of time we never would have chosen to stay there. I hate that Dunes Bldg Management didn't do more to earn repeat customers, as it could have been a lovely trip for all. Luckily the weather was amazing, but 9.5 hrs a day is a bit much sun for us.. just to stay away from all the noise. There were large groups of us on the beach, all with the same problems & unfortunately most with the same solution... look for a different place to stay next time.

Many thanks to Sandi for providing a perfect vacation stay. Her condo is well represented by the description and photos provided on the VRBO website. The space is large, quiet, well appointed and has a view that will get you to return again and again. It was also nice to be able to meet Sandi as she lives close by in PCB. We had no problems. The condo was clean and the elevators in the E building were never a problem. Sandi was able to point out any small issues within the condo as well as give us recommendations on nearby restaurants. Our family looks forward to returning to Panama City as soon as possible. Thank you, again!

Wonderful Condo

  • 5 of 5

I would like to thank Sandi for sharing her condo with our family for 8 nights. It was a beautiful place and very well furnished and with the best. I will have to say this is the nicest condo we have stayed in at the Dunes and we have stayed there for the last 8 or 9 years. We had beautiful weather during our stay there and enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this condo to anyone that has a large family or group, we had everything we needed for our stay there. It was very nice to personally meet the owner and deal directly with her. Thank you again so much for sharing your home with us and we will probably be calling you again in the future. We had the best view from our balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset. Thanks again!

Good time at this PCB condo despite the weather (3 days of tropical storm Debby).

Our stay at this condo was comfortable. The photos are very accurate. The dishwasher was older and the kitchen could use an update but it was well equipped with just about every gadget you need. The only thing I would suggest as far as the kitchen goes is some food storage bowls with lids that fit. I could only find 2 with matching lids. Also, we were given only 1 dish towel and 1 dish cloth. More than 1 of each would've been nice. The amount of bath towels and wash clothes was very sufficient. Something else that I couldn't find anywhere was a towel drying rack. We were constantly using the dryer to dry beach towels because we had no where to hang them to dry.

Our condo was for the most part clean. As I said, it could use some updating here and there. We did have an issue with something in the condo and the owner was notified right away. I called her and emailed her and she did respond to my call the next day. She was appreciative of me bringing the issue to her attention but I was uneasy about the fact that she came into our condo while we were gone to dinner.

The entry to the condo was a keyless entry which was GREAT!! We didn't have to worry about losing keys or forgetting keys. With 8 of us staying in this condo, it would've been hard to keep track of who has the key. If we come back to Panama anytime in the future, we would rent this condo again.

We went out to dinner twice while we stayed here. If you are looking for seafood, The Boatyard restaurant was fantastic. Highly recommend the Wild mushroom and seafood stew, King crab legs and the White Chocolate bread pudding (if it's available). The best time to go to dinner anywhere in PCB is at or before 5:00PM or after 8:00PM. After 5PM you will be waiting for a table. We got to The Boatyard at 5:00 and there wasn't anyone there. It was perfect timing. By the time we left, the place was getting crowded. We also went to Scampy's. Don't wast your time at Scampy's. Food was no more than average. And that's putting it nicely. We only went there because our kids wanted Gator bites and they had them on the menu. On the beach right by the walkway from our pool was jetski rentals, parasailing, banana boat rides and beach chair and umbrella rentals. If you are looking to rent jetski's or banana boats, go down the beach (to the left). They were cheaper and much nicer down there. You get more for your money down the beach.

Yes we would recommend this condo to family and friends.
