About Taylor Brown
We are from San Francisco and recently moved to Sonoma County. We appreciate comfortable and creative environments. We love our summers at the river and you will too.
Taylor Brown purchased this Cabin in 2012
Why Taylor Brown chose Rio Nido
We have been visiting this area for years and love what Guerneville has to offer. With it's towering redwoods, neighboring vineyards, lazy river, and a short drive to the Pacific ocean, we could not have picked a better spot.
What makes this Cabin unique
The neighborhood has a historical musical significance. From the roaring 1920's orchestra bands to the hip 1960's Grateful Dead, Rio Nido was the hub for great music on the Russian River.

Amazing time to relax and unwind.
We loved it! The cottage is quaint, charming, has character, and is very clean. My husband and I had a wonderful time just relaxing in the comfortable furniture next to the fire, listening to Tony Bennett on the Bose speakers, and reading novels. We also liked the antiques and vintage/modern mix of things around the house. We would like to come back when the weather is better however the three days of rain in the forest caused us to stay put and relax, read, and reflect. We loved seeing the the beautiful redwood trees all around the property. Great time!
Cuest house in Rio Nido
Super clean. The cutest house in the area. A very well kept property inside and out. Amazingly well decorated. We felt right at home.
Deafening silence. Birds at play. The wind in the trees. A cozy cabin with wonderful details.
The woods. Coffee on the back porch, wrapped in a blanket, enjoying the present moment.
Taylor ~ thank you for sharing your piece of peace in this world.
Until next time ~ Morgyne
House was cozy and accommodating. It was clean and updated with even the smallest detail .
Kitchen was equipped with everything needed to function. Most rentals do not think of stocking kitchen with a sharp knife, wine stoppers or even a clean sponge. Owners thought of everything. Well done!
We will be back if we ever get the opportunity to travel to that region of California again.
Stylish getaway in the trees
My husband and I spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the Sequoia house. All of the decor was very thoughtful and the house was clean and had everything you'd need even if you chose to cook all your meals here (which we didn't). Will definitely recommend to friends and come back the next time we're visiting the area.
This is a special place. After scouring every home rental site and searching the entire state of California for a quiet New Year's destination, I found the Sequoia House. Something about it appealed to me. The simplicity of the home, the wood burning stove, the GIANT redwoods surrounding it. The photos looked incredible and it looked even better in person. This is exactly what we needed. If you need an escape, this is the place. We hope to return in the future.
