About Taylor Brown

We are from San Francisco and recently moved to Sonoma County.

We appreciate comfortable and creative environments.

We love our summers at the river and you will too.

Taylor Brown purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Taylor Brown chose Guerneville

We have been visiting this area for years and love what Guerneville has to offer. With it's towering redwoods, neighboring vineyards, lazy river, and a short drive to the Pacific ocean, we could not have picked a better spot.

What makes this cabin unique

The neighborhood has a historical musical significance. From the roaring 1920's orchestra bands to the hip 1960's Grateful Dead, Rio Nido was the hub for great music on the Russian River.

This is a special place. After scouring every home rental site and searching the entire state of California for a quiet New Year's destination, I found the Sequoia House. Something about it appealed to me. The simplicity of the home, the wood burning stove, the GIANT redwoods surrounding it. The photos looked incredible and it looked even better in person. This is exactly what we needed. If you need an escape, this is the place. We hope to return in the future.

Thank you Taylor for amazing stay! The cabin and amenities are true to their description and pictures. I came here looking to have a few quiet days amongst the trees and I'm so glad I did, it was exactly what I needed. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook with a grocery store close by. Took a short walk to grab a beer at the roadhouse...Great neighborhood. Highly recommend you take up the Taylors recommendations, really enjoyed each one, they are worth it! Will be booking again. Thanks so much!

A charming and private retreat

A charming and private retreat. So happy I had the opportunity to stay here. Lying on the Hammock in the back yard, watching the tiny finches fly around, was just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, cozy, quiet in the redwoods

Beautiful, cozy, quiet cottage in the redwoods yet just minutes from downtown. The overall interior and exterior design were just wonderful. It was so comfortable we barely left. This is the type of dream getaway place we have been looking for. Everything about it was wonderful.

Book this cabin. You won't be sorry!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfect! This inside is just charming and the back yard is a beautiful getaway. The cabin was spotless when we arrived there was cold filtered water in the fridge and fresh flowers on the table.

My husband our 8m old and I stayed here and there was plenty of space. The couch in the living room would have made a comfortable bed for at least one adult probably even two. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom which was very nice for us since our baby napped and went to bed earlier than us in the bedroom. And that would also be helpful if you had two couples staying here.

There were plenty of attractions and eating places close to the cabin and it would ha e been easy to enjoy more than two days there.

You should book this place before somebody else does. You won't regret it!
