Living like a local!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided to take our family on a dream vacation and that's exactly what we got! The view from our unit was absolutely breath taking. I loved the way the house opened up to allow the soothing sound of the crashing waves and warm salty breeze in! A short walk down the street to the Laie Point allowed us to meet many friendly locals and take in the spectacular view of the rising sun. George (owner) and Breanna (host) made us feel so welcome. They had great suggestions for things do and places to see. The communication between us made me feel as though we were all friends versus the typical tenant/landlord relationship. I did read past reviews prior to renting this unit and I feel it is necessary to mention that this rental property is divided into 3 units with a shared laundry room, driveway, and patio lounge area. During our stay all 3 units were occupied and we had absolutely no issues with these areas. I actually enjoyed doing laundry as it gave me the opportunity to appreciate the lush foliage surrounding the house and feel for the moment that I was truly living like a local! It's been a week since we left and looking through the photo's of this house make me feel home sick for Hawaii. Next time we head over to the islands I will definitely be giving George a call! Thank you George for your generosity and help in making memories of a lifetime for me and my family!

O'ahu is amazing when staying at George's house!

  • 5 of 5

We were met by an amazing host, Breanna, she is great and had a host of information for us on the North Shore. The home is exactly that, just like home.(minus the lanai overlooking the ocean and missing the cacti of AZ)Comfortable 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths made staying the week fantastic. We had easy access to shopping just down the street. Patio BBQ allowed for the steaks to be cooked right there. Short day trips led us to all the North Shore activities. Most importantly, the communication from Breanna and the owner was impeccable. Our family of 7 loved the comfort of the beds and home, quiet neighborhood and easy access. Thanks for maintaining an amazing rental!

Quiet Paradise

  • 5 of 5

George offers a unique opportunity to experience Oahu and the North Shore at a pace that allows you to slow down and relax. We arrived VERY late on the 8th and were allowed the opportunity to simply sleep in and relax. We were given time to meet up with Adam at a later point but had all of the important names and numbers that we needed.

Every morning my parents were able to soak in the sunrise as we slept in. And every evening we went to sleep to the sound of the crashing waves just outside. With 8 people the space was more than ample and the experience was the best especially with being so close Waimea, Haliewa, and right in Laie. I will stay here every chance I can get away from the mainland and get to Oahu.

Sure this isn't a "Brand New" place, however it is clean and the scenery cannot be missed. You can walk down the street to the stairs that lead to the beach on the south side of the street OR all the way to the POINT. It was just a beautiful spot. If you find that it is open jump on this treasure.

Outstanding Recommendation Turned to an Exceptional Stay

  • 5 of 5

O’ahu is very familiar to me, as I have family in Kailua (my mother had joined us for our stay) and I was, once upon a time, stationed at MCBH Kaneohe.

My wife and I got married in La’ie in March 2015. We both enjoy the peaceful countryside of the beaches on the Windward-North Shore side of O’ahu. So, we wanted to stay close to where we were married to enjoy more of the surroundings La’ie and neighboring towns. We travelled from Portland, Oregon with my wife’s mother and an auntie for a week stay at George’s ‘Oceanfront Getaway.’

We had stayed here based on the recommendation of a close friend that had stayed here in 2015 for the wedding. We both appreciated that the house is tucked away from the Kamehameha Hwy. This allowed us to enjoy the peace and serenity of the ocean view and the sounds of crashing waves off the back of the house and the lanai. It has a magnificent view to wake up to and to enjoy each day during our stay at this beautiful vacation home.

This ‘Getaway’ is a beautifully spacious three-bedroom/two-bathroom unit within a large house that includes a balcony seating area and a large lanai, two dining tables, large sitting area inside with flat panel TV, and kitchen. Internet is available. No air conditioner in this unit, but the ocean provides a great cross breeze throughout the day. A favorable amenity available for guests is the use of the laundry room; not coin-operated. This makes it so much easier to enjoy a vacation when knowing you can wash your belongings.

The ‘Getaway’ is within walking distance of a shopping center which there is a movie theater for the movie goers, plenty of places to eat, a place for shaved ice, and the beaches! Just down the street is the Foodland grocery store, U.S. Post Office, and gas station nearby. The Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU campus and the LDS temple are also within walking, or driving, distance.

It was great to work with George. He was great to accommodate us, friendly, and very helpful. George is easy to get ahold of, is quick to respond, and checked in to see how we were doing. We quickly discovered that George is an owner with a sense of humor, and genuinely wants those who stay in his house to enjoy their stay. Although, he is not located in Hawaii, George does have college students available to help, as needed. During the time of our stay, Chris was a tremendous help. In the end, I felt like George was an uncle looking out for me and my family. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Outstanding Ocean Views

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful vacation home in Laie! The three bedroom unit was amazing with its multiple patios and breathtaking views of the ocean. The house was so clean and organized! We loved having access to the laundry room and our own kitchen.

George was great to work with and very knowledgeable about the area. He was easy to get ahold of and quick to respond to our questions. We were also very impressed with the students who were on site managing the units. We will definitely return! Thanks so much for an amazing stay and we loved every minute of it!

Wonderful Vacation Home

  • 4 of 5

We have stayed here twice now and plan to come back again. The house is very nice with a beautiful view of the ocean off the lanai. The kitchen is well stocked and the laundry room is conveniently accessible. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay both times.

The house is within walking distance of shopping, entertainment and plenty of places to eat as well as beaches. Just down the street is a grocery store and our favorite evening treat, a place to get shaved ice.

The Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU campus and the LDS temple are also within walking distance.

For those that want to get a run in, there is a walking path that allows access to beaches and camp sites with restrooms. You can walk along the path for several miles and then return along the beach. Not too far from the home is an island that is a nesting ground for birds but the beach is accessible if you are adventuress enough to cross the underwater land that separates the island from the beach.

Just down the street from the house is a gorgeous view of the sunrise from the point if you're an early morning person, the view is worth it!

The location is close to everything but in a quiet area so very peaceful and easy.

George is great and very helpful and friendly.

We will definitely be back.
