About Diana

The owners built the main house & guest house in 2009 as a country retreat within in 1 hr of the GG bridge. They find it hard to leave!

Diana purchased this house in 2009

Why Diana chose Sonoma County

This property is only 1 hr from San Francisco and very quiet. Lots to do in the area, let alone on the property with a pool, hot tub, bocce court and many outdoor areas to just to relax and enjoy the views.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our weekend stay at this STUNNING new rammed earth private guest house with over the top luxurious amenities, high end details and gorgeous landscaping. FIlled with sunlight, beautiful furnishings and gorgeous hilltop views of vineyards and hills, no hotel can match this. In the morning we would rise, make coffee and sit in the hot tub overlooking the valley. This truly unique guest house has a great location near the village of Glen Ellen, Jack London State Park, dozens of wineries including Benziger, Kenwood and the charming downtown Sonoma Square. After hiking, biking and wine tasting, a dip in the pool and relaxing poolside or hammock quickly became our routine. We enjoyed having a well stocked kitchen but also took full advantage of excellent nearby restaurants as well. The owner of the property is lovely and knows exactly how to make you feel at home without intruding. We will definitely be back.

Excellent Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary for a weekend at the TulaVista house. Everything was as advertised and even more beautiful in person. The property is well maintained and the garden is quite lovely. Between the outside and the guest house, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful weekend. Our hosts did a wonderful job to make sure our stay was seamless.

Magical, beautiful Tulavista

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Tulavista and had a wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating stay at Diana's beautiful guest house. The house is fully appointed with top of the line appliances and beautifully furnished, decorated and outfitted. The salt water pool and the hot tub are just steps from the door. The rammed earth method of building makes this unique house a very tranquil place. The gorgeous setting is breathtaking by day and the clear, starry night sky makes for dream-like evenings. We could not have wished for a better vacation far away from the maddening crowds or a more romantic destination for our honeymoon.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

A really comfortable stay. Centrally located with easy access to Glen Ellen, Kenwood, and numerous wineries in the area, but tucked away in a quiet corner which was a great combo for us. Really great place to go and relax.

Simply amazing

  • 5 of 5

I would love to give this place 0 stars so no one would go there and we could have it to ourselves. Incredibly peaceful, the pool and hot tub are amazing. The bocce is a blast. The house is very well equipped and is insanely cozy. Open the doors wide and let the outdoors in. This place is an absolute gem. Can't wait to go back.

Perfectly peaceful getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at Tula Vista for our 10th wedding anniversary. Four nights wasn't nearly long enough to enjoy everything about the house and property or the area around it. Our stay was incredibly private and peaceful. The views from the patio are incredible, either night or day. Starting the morning looking over the valley with the fog working through makes you feel like you are in your own world, and watching the hummingbirds chase one another while you sit out and drink your coffee is a fantastic way to start the day.

The house is incredible - the setting, the views, furnishings, music everywhere you go if you want it. Every day we had to convince ourselves that we should go and explore, at least a little bit. The kitchen is very well equipped and really does have everything you would need. We had a great time making breakfast every day on our own schedule, and taking the time to relax and plan our days. Being able to just open the fridge in the evenings when you wanted a snack makes it feel like you are staying at a friend's house, rather than a vacation property.

Overall our stay was fantastic, if not as long as we wished it had been. We are already thinking about when we can get back out for another getaway. We just hope that Diana continues to allow others to hang out at her little corner of paradise.
