About 3000 Square Feet
I am a writer and actor living and creating alone both in the city and the country - best of both worlds. I have had success but my most most recent joy is writing awareness plays, producing, performing and directing them for the New York City school system - delightful. I also enjoy writing and performing for the New York theater scene. Another joy is getting to know people - I traveled to over a 100 countries and delight in meeting and keeping in touch with as many interesting humans as possible. My passions are classical music, theater, bicycling, swimming laps and walking in the woods and Manhattan or Brooklyn - the new Manhattan.
Rick purchased this House in 2005
Why Rick chose Brooklyn
This was the house I grew up in - We moved there when I was young and I eventually wound up in Manhattan. Then when my Mom passed I sold my apartment and bought the house. It was the happiest move I ever made. I have a rehearsal studio in the back that has allowed me to join the theatrical community once again.
What makes this House unique
The house has many wonderful attributes. In the winter fall and on a cold spring day you can enjoy the fire place. There is a front and back garden. There is availble street parking. The nieghbord is totally residential but just on the corner, on cortelyou rd is a wonder block containing many resteraunts that attract people from all over New York City. Great shoops line the street and as well. The house boasts quiet. The kitchen is well equiped and has appliances and equipment to produce great meals.

Great place to stay in Brooklyn!
We enjoyed staying at Rick's lovely home in Brooklyn. Lots of room for our party of 6 to spread out and have their own space. Very quiet for sleeping. Great location in a neighborhood with good restaurants, bars and shops. Especially loved the flower stall on the corner. Subway stop only 2 blocks away so easy to get into Manhattan. Rick was a great host and very responsive to our questions and concerns. Thanks Rick!
Rick is a gracious host.
The house was decorated perfectly for the Xmas Season. He welcomed us personally and apprised us of the availability of services, and venues in the neighborhood. As with all neighborhoods in Brooklyn you need parking karma, The subway is close and there is always car service so that is not a problem. We were 8 adults and 5 children. Rick's house was perfect for ous family. We celebrated Xmas morning and were joined by the new New York City children and their arrivals to our family. It was a glorius occasion and a great venue. Thank you to Rick!!
Wedding Weekend in Brooklyn
Rick's house was perfect for our family members to all be together for a wedding weekend. The location was perfect. Easy 1-1/2 blocks to the Q train which was the line where we needed to be. Lots of stores and restaurants right nearby yet the street was nicely tree lined and quiet. None of us had any issues with parking. The house was great. Nice big dining room. Smaller Kitchen and Living room but were fine for us. Bedrooms and Bathrooms were all fine, too. Great place for our family. Thank you Rick!!!
It was a comfortable home like atmosphere.
The home was fine for a group of 7.
We had plenty of room to relax and the kitchen added to our enjoyment of home styled meals with friends.
The neighborhood was quiet, and the parking was not an issue as is the case of many NY neighborhoods.
We were able to walk to the shops and other places of interest.
I would consider using this spot again.
great place -
place was very nice only downside was the constant search for parking.
would definitely stay again when in the area.
This a very highend Brooklyn Area that attracts artists and many tourists for its close proximity to the subway and Manhattan and the availability of large houses.
