About Linda Earnhart
We have vacationed in the Pagosa Springs area for a number of years and it was the fulfillment of a dream to be able to build a house there. We love the area and all that it has to offer, especially it's casual, laid back atmosphere.
Linda Earnhart purchased this House in 2009
Why Linda Earnhart chose Pagosa Springs
The valley and mountain views and the wildlife that come in for the pond were a major selling point. Also the huge greenbelt below us and walking distance to the National Forest were a bonus. We love fishing in the area private lakes, especially Hatcher Lake.

Beautiful mountain retreat
My family had our reunion at The Dancing Bear Retreat. It was amazing! The house is huge with five wonderfully appointed bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and TV. The kitchen/eating area is very large, with additional space on the wrap-around deck. They have everything you would need to spend a relaxing get-away. The setting is idyllic, with deer, hummingbirds, a horse, and beautiful green vistas. Thanks, Linda, for such a wonderful week!
The furnishings in the house are amazing! Everything is beautifully staged, and you get a feeling of a western cabin in every room.
I am so glad you enjoyed the house and appreciated the thought that went into furnishing the house. I love to sit on the deck and watch the deer every day....now we have a porcupine that comes most afternoons. I hope we'll see you again at Dancing Bear.
This is a beautiful "homey" home with a very responsive property manager. Any questions or concerns we had were taken care of immediately. We enjoyed sitting outside and watching the deer and hummingbirds. There were 12 of us altogether, and everyone was comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Thanks for your review- I do work hard at keeping my guests comfortable and providing all sorts of extras - I’m so glad “my” deer and hummingbirds were on time! Everyone loves the view from the decks- especially me. Hope we see you again next summer.
This house has everything you could possibly want and more! The level of construction truly surpasses anything in the area and it is simply beautiful and yet comfortable at the same time. It was just perfect - very large and also family oriented...people can be together or have their own spaces. Decorated with the best and no expense has been spared. We loved every inch! The outdoor fireplace on the deck and the firepit on the patio were so welcome on cool nights.
Beautiful very well equipped house
We planned 3 nights in this house. Communication with the owner was very good. Because of a special invitation by relatives of one of us we had to leave for Santa Fe already after two nights, what really was pity. Everything is perfect and I imagine it a beautiful place for all seasons.
This huge house has everything you could want - more than enough space for any family gathering and the basement playroom is incredible. The kids never wanted to come upstairs unless it was to eat! The property is beautiful with great decks to watch the deer and other wildlife and the kitchen has every convenience possible, along with a fully stocked pantry. The interior woodwork is a work of art. Can't wait to return!
