About Astrid and Rick
Hi, We are Astrid (46) and Rick (45), we have two sons, Joris (14) and Jesse (7). Rick is born and raised in Amsterdam and I moved 25 years ago to Amsterdam. Before we settled down we have travelled the world and stayed also at other people houses. We like to think that by staying with locals you’ll see a different city. Of course we will help you to explore the city and if we have the time we will show you around. If the weather permits, and if our schedule allows it we can go for a boot trip or have a drink at our rooftop.
Astrid and Rick purchased this Studio in 2001
Why Astrid and Rick chose Amsterdam City Centre
It was our dream that one day a small piece of Amsterdam would be ours. Once back in Amsterdam we decided to chase our dream. 15 years ago we bought our town house, which was build in 1897 and stood the test of time really well.
What makes this Studio unique
Located in the best part of Amsterdam, called the Jordaan. Our street is really quiet but around the corner you will see the most picturesque street with all little restaurants, bars and shops with in the background the Wester Church. For us one of the reasons to buy the house.

A special location with charming hosts & comfy accommodations
Excellent location in a beautiful, quiet area close to public transportation and good places to eat. Easy walking to Anne Franks, grocery stores, best apple pie in Amsterdam (Winkel 43) and lovely canals. Outstanding hosts, easy to contact.
Rosie’s Place: Amsterdam
Quiet, clean, well appointed studio in the Jordaan area. Astrid was helpful and delightful to deal with. Coffee, tea and wine available, along with some treats. Metro stop was only a 5 minute walk, and good restaurants were available in the neighborhood. Would happily stay again st Rosie’s Place
Fantastic stay in a fantastic place!
My husband and I stayed in Rick & Astrid's second floor flat, and we couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place or a more well-located situation! They've completely remodeled their 100-year-old house, and their rental flat is very modern -- an induction cooktop, a Nespresso machine (with complimentary pods!), a beautiful and effective shower, and a v. comfy bed! Rick & Astrid are also v. friendly and helpful, and suggested some wonderful neighborhood restaurants. In the Jordaan, the flat is walking distance from the Anne Frank house, 2 blocks from a tram that zips you to Museum Square and a few blocks from a large Saturday market. It was ideal for us, and we're looking forward to our return!
Great stay in Amsterdam!
We had a wonderful stay at Rosie's place! The apartment is clean and inviting. We were greeted by Rick and Astrid upon arrival. In addition to carrying up our luggage and helping us get acquainted with the apartment they also went above and beyond, greeting us with a bottle of wine and a wonderful binder full of information about Amsterdam (including their restaurant recommendations, which we loved)! The apartment was a perfect size for a couple and was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need! The apartment was conveniently located in a quaint area surrounded by restaurants and shops. We would absolutely stay here again on a return trip to Amsterdam!
Amazing! Would stay here again for sure.
Clean, very inviting and homey. Great location - short, easy walk to restaurants and bars.
Astrid and Rick are great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed from the start.
Perfect place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing!
Great location for it is close to all the main attractions and public transportation. The apartment is perfect! You walk in and feel more relaxed immediately. Astrid and Rick were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying here. Oh and if you have time try the Thai restaurant that Astrid and Rick recommend it was amazing!
Located in the Jordaan, center of Amsterdam. Anne Frank museum and the Western church are 5 minutes walking. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops and galleries around the corner. Local markets on Monday and Saturday morning.
