Perfect location to access most of downtown. We went primarily for a concert at the Bridgestone arena and it's an easy walk. Also went to the Bluebird and it was an easy Uber from this location.
We loved our stay! The pool was amazing. The views and location incredible. There were minimal supplies (two towels per bathroom, no extra, tiny soap/shampoo, minimal laundry detergent, etc) so make sure to plan accordingly.
From the moment of check in we were bombarded with all the DON’Ts instead of explaining the property and amenities. So be ready to walk on egg shells your entire stay. Staff wasn’t very approachable or friendly. They always look angry. Only residents can have a pool chair at the pool area even if it’s unattended. Also only 35 people can be at the pool and staff is aggressive. Can’t play music, can’t converse unless you are whispering, have to lay on concrete. Room had wall damage and furniture damage. Don’t think the floors have ever been mopped. Just came off very cheap. Ice maker leaked everywhere and staff had no solution so we had to buy ice from a grocery store. $200 per card if you lose your room card or don’t turn them in. Balcony railing was not safe to put any weight or lean on. Very wobbly and dangerous. Wouldn’t recommend or return.

This is a tough one...Great Property, but Stay AWAY from Alfred
The building and location is great. The problem is Stay Alfred is not. I would have much preferred to rent directly from an owner (I have a good friend that lives in the building). The Stay Alfred is a section of the building, and they like to think they are providing a "hotel" like experience. In reality, the Stay Alfred renters are treated as 2nd class. Not only do you need to sign up on a wait list to use the pool each day, but the staff that supervises was rude about it. (we heard all the reasons and excuses, thank you for that) Definitely not trained in hospitality. We have stayed in many VRBO properties around the world and have even listed our own home, this was the first negative experience we had. What is more, the cable box in the unit did not work. We requested help assistance 3x. They are great at sending plenty of texts and emails to you, trying to come across as hip/cool, but nobody actually showed up to fix anything; we were there 5 days! Great property, but Stay AWAY from Alfred!
