The house is very private and is great if you want to get away from it all but close to many other water activities. The house is walking distance to horse trails. The home was recently renovated with kitchen and living area. The yard is fenced in and is large for boat parking and additional vehicles.
We are about 1 mile from Canyon Park, which is a wonderful lakeside park with a marina where you can take a picnic and enjoy a family outing. There is a public boat ramp about 1 mile away (check lake levels for ramp availability). Also, we are about 12 minutes with great access to Guadalupe tubing down the river.
Don't forget about hunting in the Fall and Winter. Our home would provide a great place to stay while hunting in the hill country!
There is a grocery store, pizza parlor, Italian Garden (great Italian food), and Sweeties Bakery (one of our favorite spots for a kolache or breakfast tacos) close by. And if you find yourself missing the city life, drive about 30 minutes to historic New Braunfels or about 20 minutes to Gruene Hall, or take a drive into San Antonio for the day.

This property was amazing! It's about an acre, fully fenced in which is perfect for dogs. There was plenty of towels for everyone in our party, some great movies to watch on dvd and a quick drive to the river for tubing. Becky was super nice and very accommodating. I will definitely be rebooking.
We had a great time. We enjoyed our time here. We got to bring our dogs with us which was our biggest concern about going on vacation. Becky was very sweet and is an Awesome person. It was My husband 55th Birthday . Becky let him and my son go fishing off her property He caught 3 large bass. This place is a great home to rent for a vacation its like going to grandma's house. Nice yard for your furry babies. We will be back soon!!

I can't say enough about how wonderful this place makes you feel and how Becky makes you feel right at home. It was so relaxing and perfect for me and my family. My morning coffee on the outside swing was the best and our breakfast made with the fresh eggs Becky gave us was definitely a treat. I definitely would recommend this home away from home!
We had an amazing vacation. The yard was great for our 3 dogs and perfect for the 2 couples. Becky was very hospitable and went out of her way to make us feel welcomed. We are looking forward to returning in the future.
When we ariived New Years Eve weekend Mrs. Yates had the house all clean and ready for us. She left us a cute note, with two house keys, and even a dozen farm fresh eggs (which were amazing)! She lives in the house right down the hill and she allowed us to bring our dogs for the weekend, since she has a few dogs herself. The area is beautiful and outside we had a firepit and a gas grill which was perfect for our two day stay. The neighbors across the street had a huge firework show for the New Years which was awesome! We honestly had so much fun we cant wait to go back in the summer. She even offered us her own personal canoes...which we will definetly use when we visit again. Thank you Mrs. Yates for everything!!!
The house is located off of 306. Turn off of Interstate 35 on to 306 or off of Hwy. 281 on to 306. The address is 1177 Cedar Bend, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133. The lake is a great place to enjoy water activities,such as boating,skiing, canoeing, and fishing and much more.
Wimberly, Texas has Market Days the first Saturday of each month in summer season. Gruene, Texas has the oldest dance hall in Texas with plenty of stores to shop.
