Overview

About the property

4 Beds 2 Baths

The house is very private and is great if you want to get away from it all but close to many other water activities. The house is walking distance to horse trails. The home was recently renovated with kitchen and living area. The yard is fenced in and is large for boat parking and additional vehicles.

We are about 1 mile from Canyon Park, which is a wonderful lakeside park with a marina where you can take a picnic and enjoy a family outing. There is a public boat ramp about 1 mile away (check lake levels for ramp availability). Also, we are about 12 minutes with great access to Guadalupe tubing down the river.

Don't forget about hunting in the Fall and Winter. Our home would provide a great place to stay while hunting in the hill country!

There is a grocery store, pizza parlor, Italian Garden (great Italian food), and Sweeties Bakery (one of our favorite spots for a kolache or breakfast tacos) close by. And if you find yourself missing the city life, drive about 30 minutes to historic New Braunfels or about 20 minutes to Gruene Hall, or take a drive into San Antonio for the day.

Our property has 2 queen size beds and 1 full size bed to accomadate you. Please call or email me for more details!!

Great place to stay!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I've stayed in many vacation homes and this is the best overall. The house is in a quiet and secure neighborhood. You will see deer almost everyday. Mrs. Yates is a wonderful sweet lady and she will do almost any thing for you.

Wonderful stay at Scenic Terrace Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Scenic Terrace Retreat in Canyon Lake last week for six days. I would talk about how nice the house is, but first I need to rave about how wonderful the owner, Becky Yates, is. She made us feel welcome and appreciated. From the sweet note and fresh eggs at our arrival, to the fresh vegetables and advice on local restaurants and attractions, Becky was amazing. She is a kind and caring woman, and provides everything you need for an exceptional vacation.

The house is very nice and very clean. The living and dining areas have quality and attractive furnishings. All three bedrooms are comfortable and also well furnished. The kitchen is superbly stocked with pans, utensils, etc, so you don't really need to bring much. The appliances (stove, washer, dryer, etc) are all brand new and perfect working condition. The outdoor area is awesome - we woke up to about fifteen deer in the yard each morning. Becky has nice lawn furniture and a great fire pit (we roasted hot dogs on two different nights). The fenced and gated yard was just right for storing our jet skis under the cover with no worries. The new asphalt driveway was also very nice.

I really can't say enough good things about this rental, other than I can't wait to go back!

So clean and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

This is one of the nicest VRBO's I've stayed in... everything was immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to go home. Plenty of hot water and pressure. Becky was such a wonderful host, she'd even left us extras- a few bath essentials, and a dozen eggs from her own chickens!! She stopped by to meet us and make sure we were comfortable. And we certainly were. Even the kids enjoyed the stay since they had a little playground area, and lots of deer and wildlife to watch. A great experience, and we would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Owner's Response: What a wonderful review, thank you so much. I hope you will come again some day. I'm happy you all enjoyed your stay here, and the deer are certainly an added attraction. I love them too.

A Wonderful Weekend in the Hillcountry

  • 5 of 5

This is our third time to stay at this property and we will continue to come back as much as we possibly can.

The house is very clean and comfortable. It has all the furnishings you could possibly as for.

We love the yard as well. You can sit out on the porch and watch all kinds of Birds and Deer. They had put a Deer Feeder close to the house and the Deer are out there all the time. It is so soothing to sit out there and see all the wildlife (we even saw a fox).

The location is so close to Canyon Lake as well as the Guadalupe and Comal rivers. We spent a lot of time at each of them.

Becky is the most friendly and kind owner we have dealt with while booking through VBRO. They were even going to take us for a ride on their four wheeler to show us how to get to the lake from their house and where we could look in the creek to find arrow heads.

Becky goes out of her way to make everyone feel comfortable and Happy.

This a top notch property and we will continue to go back.

Girls Trip 2017

  • 5 of 5

This house was great! It was so nice and clean, well stocked with things that usually are never provided. We had fresh eggs and a sweet note from the owner when we arrived, that's never happened anywhere else we have stayed. Becky is such a friendly and outgoing person with such a wonderful personality. There is a nice area outside to sit and relax. Everything was just amazing. Will definitely be staying here again.
