I came in while it was dark and I worried about finding the address and somewhere to park. Phew... I worried for nothing... I found the place easily and there was plenty of safe on the street parking. This cozy place was located around the back of the main home with plenty of light to find to door. Once inside I found the apt. very clean and inviting. Everything I needed was there and Susan was a phone call away if I needed anything. I chose this place because it was just a few miles from the venue I was attending. It was the perfect spot to rest your head. Thank you Susan!!
Cozy, comfy and clean.
Great stay! Will definitely come back!
Our second visit to Susan's home. Nothing could be better!
This home is close to everything we want to be near. Northport Village, beaches, Rt 25A, and of course, family. Thanks for a home away from home, Susan.
Thanks so much for your compliments........come back soon😊
Lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood!
We were very happy to spend a whole week at Susan's charming basement apartment in the lovely village of Northport. Every year we spend a week on Long Island visiting relatives (they are scattered all over Long Island!) and we found the location to be great for our needs. The weather was quite a lot cooler than we are accustomed to (we live in Southern California) but the apartment stays very warm and cozy. We worried about being warm enough at night because there were no extra blankets in our closet but we shouldn't have worried, we were warm as toast!
Susan was very hospitable and left some fruit and yogurt in the refrigerator for us along with coffee and sweet rolls. That was going above and beyond what most hosts do as we use AirBnB and VRBO often. Even though she lives in the main home we only saw her once when she gave us new sheets for our bedding. The bathroom had a minor hiccup with the toilet failing to refill properly and she took care of it immediately, she was VERY responsive to our needs and we really appreciated it.
Only a couple of reasons why we did not give 5 stars and they are MINOR. The apartment does not come with a stove, it isn't really mentioned in the write up and we did not ask. There is, however, a toaster oven and two hot plates for the use of the renter. Since we are unfamiliar with these appliances we didn't want to "practice" at someone else's property, so we left them un-used. The other issue for us was that to get to the apartment you have to walk down a slope with loose rocks and stepping stones. My husband has bad knees and it was a little bit of a struggle especially returning late after it had gotten a bit frosty, the footing wasn't as stable as he would have liked. Like I said, these are MINOR issues and I would highly recommend this rental for those looking for a lovely, small, and well-maintained apartment. Susan is a great host and the location is wonderful. Thank you, Susan, for hosting us, your kindness was appreciated!!
Clean, comfortable, roomy, apartment. I would stay again if the need arises.
Good location for us... just what we wanted!
Nice, clean, and cozy! Thank you!
Thanks so much for your visit, sorry I missed you. Come back any time! And thanks for taking such good care of my lovely laurel😊
