About Lee Morgan

I am a Canadian-trained osteopath practicing manual therapy in San Francisco. I specialize in working with infants and children. I travel to India every year to work with disabled children and am currently focusing on raising money to build the first school for disabled children in the town of Tiruvanamalai, South India. I love to travel, new adventures, nature, a good cappuccino, and dancing Argentine tango.

Lee Morgan purchased this condo in 1996

Why Lee Morgan chose Fisherman's Wharf

The location is fantastic. You are in the heart of the city, but you feel like you are in nature. You get to watch the boats and weather across the San Francisco Bay, and stay cosy in front of a warm fire.

What makes this condo unique

The view takes my breath away every morning and I have been living here for 15 years. I have beautiful antiques and the place is peaceful, a lovely retreat in the heart of San Francisco.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi, I wish I could post my own pictures of the views from this beautiful condo. Lee's condo is in the prestigious Telegraph Hill neighborhood and both the condo and the roof deck offer panoramic views of the Bay and Alcatraz. The building is a lovely Spanish Colonial and the condo is furnished beautifully and has a very modern kitchen. The condo sits at the end of a cup de sac so there is very little traffic and is very quiet. The wharf and the embarcadero are a short walk away down the hill. The working fireplace is also a nice plus! What a gem - I highly recommend it.

We are also near the famous Filbert Street steps, home to the wild parrots of Telegraph Hill. The bustling markets of Chinatown, the financial district and downtown Union Square are all within walking distance.

The cablecar is 5 blocks away. City buses 30 and 45 run down Columbus Ave and the Embarcadero streetcar is also nearby. The Blue and Gold Ferry to Sausalito, Tiburon, Angel island and Alcatraz are down the hill at Piers 39 and 41.

Bay View

  • 5 of 5

If you want to experience the San Francisco bay area this is the place for you. It is a very comfortable and tastefully furnished apartment in a 1930s Spanish style building on the north face of Telegraph Hill. The pictures do not do this place justice. The living room window provides an excellent expansive view of the bay while letting in plenty of light for an open airy feeling. The apartment provides all you need to live like a local and is very clean and well decorated. I especially enjoyed the Alexander Calder prints. As to location it is excellently located for all your dining and shopping needs and is walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown and downtown. I didn't use any public transportation during my stay. Overall an excellent place to enjoy your stay in San Francisco. If you choose to stay here you will fondly remember the words of Rudyard Kipling: "San Francisco has only one drawback.....'tis hard to leave."

This condo is amazing -- beautiful, every amenity, and incredible views!

  • 5 of 5

We only have rave reviews about Lee's beautiful condo. It's at the top of Telegraph Hill which offers outstanding views of the Bay. The small rooftop deck (up 5 flights of stairs) was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and panoramic views of the Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay bridge...it was one of our favorite features of our stay. The location is perfect -- quiet but convenient to many of the best sites and activities. We didn't have a car, which worked out fine. It's a very hilly area, but we enjoyed walking the neighborhoods and appreciating the architecture. (Uber is always an option if you don't like walking the hills.) We've never experienced such thoughtful touches of hospitality at anything we've rented before. Lee left coffee and teas, cream, yogurt and granola -- we truly felt like we were staying at a friend's home. Furnishings are beautiful, appliances are top-of-the-line, and the bed is really comfortable. It's also immaculate! Lee offered us so much helpful information prior to our trip, too. If our travels bring us back to San Francisco, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. It was truly memorable!

Fantastic views of Bay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently spent four nights in this condo in San Francisco. We almost felt like we had not left Hawaii as the views from the condo's picture window were breathtaking. We had an awesome view of the bay. The condo was perfect for us. We were able to walk to so many locations and restaurants and only felt the need to Uber when we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge. We would recommend this great getaway and hope to come back some day. Thank you!!

Comfort and Location!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was perfect for our stay in SF. All rooms were spacious and charming... with fully stocked kitchen, standing computer station next to a formal desk, large bedroom with sizable closet, and a huge living room with unobstructed and breathtaking views of Alcatraz and the Bay.

The location was perfect. It was a just a couple blocks from Pier 39, Coit Tower, and also Washington Square. Tucked away at the very end of a dead end there was zero street noise. Apartment access was secure and easy. Only a few steps up to get to this first floor apartment which feels more like a 2nd floor because of the pitch of the street.

Lee was extremely helpful and responsive to emails we sent with questions. And she saved the day with parking advice that saved us a few dollars. (If you bring a small car ask her about the special parking spot that the City forgot about).

It is obvious that Lee takes pride in her residence, which was perfectly clean and in order with all personal belongings away. I've stayed at residential rentals where the owners have left their cereal bowls in the sink.

Couple other things to point out:

Instant extremely hot water from every faucet.

Tall windows provide great breezes.

TV in the bedroom, not living room

Rooftop Deck!! (but take your time its like 5 stories up)

Quaint bistro table and 2 chairs in front of the monstrous picture window from which you can enjoy the Bay views (recommended with wine)

In summary, we loved it and hope to stay there again when we come back.

First Class view and perfect Telegraph Hill location.

  • 5 of 5

This was our third stay at the best couple's property in San Francisco. We discovered this gem of an apartment, with a first Class, unobstructed view of Alcatraz and the Bay, after paying way too much for an obstructed view at one of SF's classic hotels. This time we stayed seven nights, and we really got to know Telegraph Hill, North Beach and Russian Hill. There are dozens of small, local businesses within a short walk, and we would get our supplies with ease. The kitchen, shower and washer/dryer at this property are first Class, and the living area with the view North toward Alcatraz makes for a perfect pre-dinner cocktail location. Uber cars are just down the hill, and there is never more than a 2-3 minute wait for a ride. The building is a classic of 1930's architecture, and you're only a few minutes walk from Coit Tower and Fisherman's Wharf. Don't miss the view from the roof. This is the place; make no mistake.
