The spacious 3rd floor balcony looks straight out over the wide Windy Hill beach and is the perfect place to sit and have breakfast while you enjoy the gorgeous Atlantic sunrise. And when you're ready to get in the waves, the beach is just a quick walk down the steps and over the dunes. If the pool is more to your liking, Ocean Pier 4 has a beautiful oceanfront pool with plenty of lounge chairs and seating areas. After a fun-filled day of water play, satisfy your robust appetite at one of the hundreds of local restaurants of every cuisine and price range. In the evening, why not check out a show at the Alabama Theater just over a mile away or head 3 miles down the road to Tanger Outlets for some shopping or just stay home and watch a DVD movie on the big screen TV. Everything you could want in a beach vacation is convenient to this Windy Hill condo so you can make this trip as active or as laid back as you want!
Our condo features a fully equipped full size kitchen with a glass top stove, full size refrigerator, microwave, double sink with disposal, coffee maker, blender, toaster and all the pots, pans and dishes needed to cook and serve typical meals for 6 people. The kitchen is separated from the 4 person dining table by a breakfast bar that seats 2 more.
The living room has a very comfortable queen sleeper sofa and an entertainment center with a big screen TV connected to basic analog (Time Warner) cable and a DVD player.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a small oceanfront balcony, a private full bath (shower-only) and a TV that offers basic analog cable.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed also.
The in-condo washer/dryer is also a great convenience for washing beach towels and bathing suits at the end of the day. If you would like to avoid the hassle of bringing your own linens, we will be happy to provide them for a small fee of $30 (what our cleaning service charges us to wash them). The linens we provide includes 2 sets of queen sheets (1 for each bedroom), 2 hand towels (1 for each bathroom), 8 bath towels and 8 wash cloths.
From June 1st to mid-August, we only accept weekly rentals that run from Saturday to Saturday. We DO NOT accept rentals longer than 3 weeks, so please NO MONTHLY rental requests.
Your quote will include the 11% state and local taxes that we must pay on every rental. Any homeowner that isn't paying these taxes could have their property seized before you check-in so make sure you're comparing apples-to-apples for your own safety.
Please note, this condo is not handicap accessible. The view is beautiful, but it is on the 3rd floor and the building does not have elevators. Also, please bring your cell phone for emergencies because the condo does not have phone service. The cell signal in the condo is good to excellent for most national carriers and Verizon has recently added 4G service to the area.
Motorcycles and trailers are not allowed in the parking lot and will be towed by the homeowners association. Only condo owners are allowed to bring golf carts onto the property.
We rent to responsible adults over the age of 25. Children of our guests are certainly welcome.
Edward and Kathryn live in Durham, NC. Edward is a software engineering consultant and Kathryn is a manager at UNC Hospitals. We spent some of the most enjoyable days of our youth in North Myrtle Beach and many years ago I asked Kathryn to marry me while watching the moonrise over the ocean in NMB. Owning a place down there was a lifelong dream of ours that we were finally able to fulfill in 2005. We hope you enjoy our place as much as we have.

The incredible oceanfront views from the living room, master bedroom and especially the balcony are what sealed the deal for us when we were looking for a beach condo. Being able to sit out on the huge balcony and listen to the waves and smell the sea air is so relaxing.
We booked for 2 weeks and in the middle of the first we had to evacuate because of Hurricane Matthew. This was our first evac experience and I must commend the owner for his help - he stayed on top of the situation, kept us advised on conditions, and let us know as soon as we could return. We ended up being gone for 4 nights and he generously refunded fees for those nights. He didn't have to per the rental agreement so that gesture was much appreciated. He was easy to reach and responded quickly to requests or questions.
As for the unit - it is dated as noted in the description and could benefit from some upgrades. However, everything worked as it should; we were steps from the beach and pool; and the balcony (though not as large as appears in the photos) was very pleasant for relaxing and enjoying the view. The pool was hardly used and only 3-4 of us were there regularly.
The kitchen was well stocked though do agree with previous comment about needing an extra skillet.
Convenient to shops (Barefoot Landing across the street), stores, and restaurants. Quiet location for those not interested in loud parties!
There are 42 steps from ground to unit. Keep this in mind if you have any problems with stairs because you will use them at least twice a day and it can be a challenge to carry up suitcases and supplies.
The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the 80's appearance of the condo. Otherwise, it's a winner and I recommend for future travelers.
My family had such a wonderful time! What an amazing view, steps to the beach (well worth the walk upstairs). The condo was clean, quiet and comfortable. The location was exactly what we were looking for as this was our first time to Myrtle Beach. Easy drive to local accommodations such as groceries, shopping, site seeing and of course golf. We enjoyed our early mornings and late evenings on the balcony enjoying the peaceful sound of the ocean.
Everything about the property was exactly what my family needed! The condo was clean and well equipped. I would recommend having an additional skillet in the kitchen. Thank you.
We had such a great time last weekend staying in this sweet little Ocean Front Condo. Not only was the location exactly what we wanted ( you can't beat the view), but the size of the place was perfect too. There were only 2 of us, so we had plenty of room to spare, but easily could have had another couple with us and still would have had plenty of space. The owner was friendly, efficient and extremely informative to the surrounding area and reccomendations for restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for a nice, quiet, low key getaway- look no further! We will definitely be back!
Great location. The unit could use some updating but was still comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owner was helpful and timely with all interactions. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this unit again.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the clean and comfortable accommodations of the condo. The fantastic view of the beach and the easy access to the pool area was a plus. The owners were very responsive to questions and concerns we had. We will be back and I highly recommend it.
Quick and easy access to Barefoot Landing where you'll find tons of restaurants, shops, Alabama Theater (live shows) and Alligator Adventure (wildlife amusement park). Huge new BiLo grocery store open 24hrs is just a few blocks away across Hwy 17. A convenient little oceanview grill and bar is just 6 blocks away on Ocean Blvd. Even Myrtle Beach attractions like Broadway at the Beach and Myrtle Waves Waterpark are a quick drive down Carolina Bays Parkway (Hwy 31).
