Beautiful home
Spent an excellent weekend here in this well stocked and gorgeous home. Thank you
Very clean, friendly owner, close proximity to Edinburgh.
Great that you can take your dog on holiday. Lovely welcome basket with goodies and bread, milk and butter in fridge! Went to Leadburn inn for fantastic food and dogs welcome there as well. Great area for dog owning family!
Fantastic accommodation!
4 of us enjoyed a brilliant stay here at new year! The cottage is kitted out so well with everything you could possibly need for a break away! When we arrived the owner was very welcoming and also so helpful when our front door key jammed, lovely man!
As others have said, the welcome hamper was a lovely extra and included bread, milk, crisps, cakes, biscuits and orange juice.
The 2 men were also very impressed with the surround sound in the living room!
Highly recommend, can't fault anything!
Absolutely lovely!!
So glad I found this place.....
The cottage was bright and airy, cosy and clean and I especially loved the crisp white cotton bedding. As we arrived late in the day, it was particularly nice to find a wonderful array of goodies waiting for us in the Welcome Basket (bread, butter, milk, crisps, juice, biscuits, cakes and apples) and there was even a bag of treats for our dogs - now that is what I call thoughtful, thank you. The owner who lives next door was lovely and very helpful. He didn't disturb us at all but was there to answer any questions about using the TV and the Wifi (as I am a bit thick when it comes to using technical stuff :)
Without a doubt, I would recommend this as a place to stay, it is lovely and I will go again.

Comfortable luxury
A well-appointed, central base for exploring the area. Very high standard of accommodation, with amazingly generous welcome package. I'm sure we will be back.
Perfect for our short Autumn break
+ clean with everything we needed
+ thoughtful welcome goodies even for our dog
+ close snd convenient for day in Edinburgh yet feels like you're 100 miles away.
+ friendly owner is only next door if you need anything but doesn't bother you if you don't
+ good wifi throughout the property
- v noisy shower could do with some attention.
Location
Pine Lodge is nestled in a woodland setting with bird life such as nuthatches, woodpeckers, owls, and buzzards viewable around the cottage. Local amenities include the world-renowned Glentress and other Seven Stanes Mountain Bike Centres, Rosslyn Chapel (As featured in the Da Vinci Code ), and the town of Peebles with its characteristic shops, pubs, and restaurants. There is also a good choice of restaurants and pubs not far from the cottage, including the Whitmuir Organic Restaurant and Farm Shop (Voted Best Organic Shop in the U.K.). Other local interests include the Dawyck Botanic Garden, and the Kailzie Gardens where watching Ospreys is possible. Fishing is available on the River Tweed by daily permit or at the many local fisheries and reservoirs, and for golfing enthusiasts numerous courses are situated in and around Edinburgh including Glencorse which was voted one of Scotland's hidden gems by U.S. Sports Illustrated. For those seeking a slower pace of life the Spa resorts of the Peebles Hydro or Stobo Castle offer a half or full day of pampering and relaxation. Bus stops nearby the cottage also provide alternative transport to Edinburgh and the rest of the Borders.
