Located just 3 blocks from the waterfront Malecon, 2 blocks from the local supermarket, 3 blocks from the Saturday Organic Farmer`s Market, 3 blocks from the main Plaza with the church, and nearly all of the best restaurants in La Paz are within a few blocks radius.

Built by an architect for his young family, this recently finished home is very comfortable.

Two king bedrooms each with private baths (one has a jacuzzi tub), large combo kitchen living room opens onto a terrace garden and custom designed swimming pool. It is a small house with the feel of a spacious luxury mansion.

Red cedar cabinetry, closets, and doors throughout the house gives a real warm cozy feeling and every room was designed to have natural cross ventilation. The famous afternoon Corumuel (south breeze) of La Paz cools the house every evening. And sleeping with the windows open is welcome as every window in the house has screening to keep out the unwanted flying guests.

La Paz is a wonderful authentic Mexican town.

About Jessie Harper

My architect husband and I met as Dive Guides in La Paz in 2005. We married on the beach and lived here for many years.

Wanting to start a family, we stepped off the dive boats and built this house for ourselves. Our baby girl was born here in La Paz early 2012 and we lived happily in our dream home.

Now we are following another dream and are spending a few years in other parts of Mexico.

Why Jessie Harper chose Esterito

Location, Location, Location. We purchased this property because it is close to everything that makes La Paz great. From the house, we walk along the Malecon every night and go to get Ice Cream at our favorite local place.

Being a small property has many advantages. It made us pay especial attention to the design of the rooms and the garden so they feel large and spacious.

Confortable. Cross breezes though out. Rooftop is great, pool refreshing. Difficult sleeping at night was the only drawback of the house. We struggled to find restraints we liked. Bismark and The Shack we not that good. The tamales in front of the super market we outstanding. A taco stand a the end of Madero, Hermanos Gonzales was great. A mexican restaurant called Grillo just off the Malecon was good as well. Especially the mole. The Tail Hunter was just OK. La Fuente ice cream, great. If your looking into going to Espirito Island, you can't go wrong with Mar y Aventures. All equipment provided. Found it challenging to navigate the streets since there are very little signage. Nonetheless, you'll get the hang of it after a few days.

Perfect house in a perfect location in La Paz

Our 5-day stay could not have been nicer. The house is as good as it looks in the online pictures. The patio and upstairs decks allow for easy ways to enjoy the Baja climate.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood while being within easy walking distance of a number of very good restaurants and a coffee shop - and a short walk to the Malecon.

Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to be back.

Wonderful Stay

This is one of the nicest designed properties that we've stayed in and we travel a lot. It's location is fantastic and who needs television when you have La Paz. Wifi was excellent, courtyard so pretty and a great place to eat or have coffee. The kitchen is a cook's dream yet there is no microwave, fewer utensils than it could have including pots and pans. I know the idea is to eat out but it's a waste because the kitchen area is so wonderful. We are believers in just charging a bit more and have a few extras.

I will say it is in a noisy area so just know that you will need the fan on or something to take the edge off the noise. The decks are so great and you can be up on top of the roof and see the bay and Malecon. The hot water is funky. It takes about five or ten minutes for it to get hot. If there are multiple people showering keep it going. It is heated by a small solar panel so per an earlier review try to shower before it gets dark. The second shower is interesting and not sure what the deal was with the pressure. Also could have used some towels in the half bath?

The positives are so great and we loved staying there. If we go to La Paz it is a must.

Nice house in a nice neighborhood

Not under the owners control but the barking dogs were awful. Bring ear plugs. Wonderful restaurants near by and a very good grocery store within a couple of blocks. There is plenty of street parking if you rent a car. Responsive property manager if you need anything

Second time staying, everything was great!

This was our second time staying in this house and our experience was as nice as the first time. The house is located in the heart of downtown so everything you need such as grocery store, restaurant, bars, etc is within walking distance. The house has a very good equipped kitchen, so cooking meals is good option as well. There is a very nice farmer's market on Tuesdays and Saturdays mornings, on Calle Madero in downtown, it is very worth visiting.

Beautiful House!!

The architecture of the house is beautiful. Very comfortable with 4 people. Enjoyed the roof top terrace in the morning with coffee and beautiful sunsets in the evening.
