Ok overall. Is a older house w older layout. Worked out fine for our stay. The upstairs bedrooms are somewhat isolated w a single stairs to converted upstairs room areas and no upstairs bath.We had the kids stay up there w no issues. The down stairs had one full bathroom and a separate landery room w shower and a separate toilet room. Worked for us as the adults strayed down stairs .i personaly liked the parlor room as a place to sleep . it has a sliding door providing some separation from entry/ family room.there is one smaller bedroom w a twin bed.then there is larger bedroom w full or queen size bed .Overall I liked the location . It was a short walk to stores but away from traffic.I did not mind the trains 2 blocks away.no proplems w cooling w our stay but if shasta temps get into the 90s upstairs cooling could be questionable.a single unit does the cooling up there. The owner rep host was helpfull and the move in and move out was easy w no hassels. I give the place a thumbs up for our family stay.
Heart of old Mt. Shasta not far from ski area.
Nice location. Train whistles remind of towns historic position. Very clean. Front door latch needs repair. Had to lock door to keep it closed. Minor inconvience.
This house is in a great quiet neighbor yet in walking distance to restaurants, stores very convenient. We loved the house its spacious and comfortable, we would of liked to have cable t.v. or some sort of family games. The backyard has a great labyrinth with fruits trees, but it needed to be cleaned. There were a lot of spider webs and the outdoor furniture was dirty. There was no light to hang out in the grilling area as well. The owners were fast to replace the grill gas tank. It was a nice house to stay in.
Sweet, cozy house.
Quiet neighborhood. Sweet old house. The owner is very helpful. A few things to consider: the upstairs has 2 bedrooms with no bathroom upstairs, one upstairs bedroom is a walk through to another bedroom, there is no grass in the backyard (for dogs to run). Some guests may not have picked up their dogs poo, or neighbor kitties may use it as a littler box because we found several old poops. Nice wood floors, appliances and access to downtown in a couple of blocks.
Comfortable House Within Walking Distance of Downtown
Beautiful view of the mountain whenever the sky cleared! Convenient to the cute town of Mt Shasta, Lake Siskiyou, Dunsmuir, McCloud-- many lovely parks for trail running, hiking, fishing. The ski park was closed (hadn't gotten snow yet) but we didn't miss it, there was so much to do!
Comfortable beds for all of us. Kitchen is well laid out for multiple people cooking and prepping at once. I'd give it 5 stars, but for the $100 cleaning fee, I would want it to be much cleaner! Very cozy, stayed warm with the monitor, furnace, and wood stove. Lovely garden, even in winter. will definitely recommend it to friends!
