Old world allure in a modern town! Located steps from Montana Ave -- the most desirable neighborhood in Santa Monica -- this 1940's mostly remodeled, 2 story, 2 bedroom, is more like a home with a custom mahogany door entrance and a private back entrance with a charming patio that leads you into the property through French doors.

This property of 1500 square feet is adorned with museum quality antiques, rugs and art. It has 2 bedrooms and a large bath upstairs with a separate bath and shower with colorful, octagon shaped tile and lots of cabinets. A quaint 1/4 bath off the kitchen/laundry with state-of-the-art washer/dryer, chef quality, gas oven range, side-by-side refrigerator and dishwasher all in stainless steel, gorgeous Golden River granite counters, with a large farm house sink and Waterworks nickel fixtures.

The exterior boasts a white picket, fenced in, lush green lawn, colorful flowers and beautifully landscaped yard. Darker, refinished wood floors throughout and new window coverings. Convenient little touches like built-in shelves, bay windows and custom doors. The common area has a custom arbor bench with red trumpet vines growing overhead and mature trees and a one-car private parking garage is included.

Walking distance to all that Santa Monica has to offer. The quaint, yet sophisticated, tree lined Montana Avenue with its variety of restaurants and boutique shopping. Only a few blocks to Palisades Park for a lovely walk and views of what the locals call the Queen's necklace view, Santa Monica Bay to Malibu. 3rd Street Promenade is close by with its great shopping and weekly farmer's market, Santa Monica Place and the world famous Pier.


My family and I stayed at this lovely property for a month. It was old world charm in a modern town! We enjoyed making meals at home in the upgraded kitchen…wow! We were able to walk to Montana Avenue and enjoy the many restaurants and boutique shops. I highly recommend this property and hope to be back soon. Mina, New York

Why Manager chose North of Wilshire

This charming property was built in the 1940's and is one of the few properties in the area that remains an original. But don't let the age fool you. The owner has upgraded most of the interior and the property grounds.

What makes this apartment unique

I'd be delighted to recommend a couple of great spots for great food and drinks all of which are within walking distance from the property. Coffee: Gourmet - Cafe Luxe at Montana/12th; Starbucks at Montana/7th. Breakfast or lunch - Marmalade just 1 block away. An amazing burger and artisan beers on tap - Father's Office at Montana/11th. Green's Up for a healthy GIANT salad at Montana/7th. Spumoni for a romantic Italian lunch or dinner. R&D for lunch or dinner and a full-bar at Montana/14th. I can recommend more...just ask!

Great location! Very comfortable and charming.

The home was charming and very clean. It was a bonus to have a garage space since the street parking was often full. The kitchen was well equipped and had upscale appliances. It was a great place to cook. Super quiet neighborhood! The property owner was very responsive and wonderful.

The location was just 6 blocks to the beach, one block to cute shopping and restaurants on Montana Ave. 3rd Street Promenade close by too!

What can I say -

Phenomenal place to stay. Makes me want to live in Santa Monica for a year! Really close to 3rd st promenade Shopping and the beach. You have both commercial and hipster coffee joints within a block, large grocery store a block away which competes with whole foods but half the price. Did I also Mention that the place is awesome? Both bedroom are huge, more than enough space for us and we had a 7mth baby with us. Great kitchen, great applicances, cute patio, amazing Webber BBQ, great entertaining space. If you just wanted to hangout at the property then you can absolutely do that here. Also, I wouldn't be doing this review justice without mentioning the owner....Cynthia was fantastic, very professional and 'gets' what vacationing is all about for holiday goers. I shall be booking again - my only request is that my bosses let me have an extra week of vacation to spend here!

HomeAway From Home!!

My family and I stayed here for two weeks while the painting was being completed in our new home after a move from the east coast. I could not say more about this "HomeAway from home". First, Cynthia is a very helpful "host" and was easy to contact for any recommendations for near by dining or entertainment, not to mention, the lovely welcome basket that was left for us and very tailored to our family. Second, the kitchen was by far the best stocked kitchen that we have ever encountered in any of our homeaways. Not only was there every gadget that one has in their own home, but food stables, like salt, pepper, olive oil, condiments, etc, that made cooking a breeze! Third, the location is perfect. It is close enough to the touristy spots, like the promenade for a 10 minute walk, but lies in the beautiful neighborhood surrounding Montana Avenue, where one can get a more local feel and a bit of a respite from the normal crowds closer to the pier. Thank you, Cynthia, for a lovely experience!

Great location!!

We loved the location in Santa Monica. You can walk to the pier, good restaurants, coffee shops, walking paths by the beach. Santa Monica has a nice laid back feel to it. The rental has neat antiques and was very comfortable for our family of five.

We so loved the location of this charming house… Convenient to restaurants… The beach… Very pleasant outdoor space… We had The comforts of large grocery store shopping… As well as all of the boutiques lining Montana Avenue… From spa services and hairstylists..

Perfect spot in Santa Monica

We love visiting Santa Monica, and this is our new favorite place to stay. Lovely decor, comfy beds, generous welcome basket, tasteful flower arrangements--Cynthia made us feel at home. The location is perfect--just a few blocks from the ocean and in a great shopping district with grocery store, Starbucks, banks, cleaners, cobblers, cheese shop, etc. We were happy that we could entertain friends in the area--the kitchen is fully equipped with a terrific Thermador stove. We also grilled on the back patio. We look forward to returning!

Montana Avenue is a quaint, sophisticated street that stretches from the West...Ocean Avenue where you can stroll along the beautiful Palisades Park overlooking the Pacific ocean with views of what the locals call the Queens Necklace from mountainous Palos Verdes to totally cool Malibu. Head East towards Brentwood and you’ll find all of the charm and conveniences of a neighborhood village with everything from gourmet coffee shops to Starbucks, fine Italian cuisine to a mom and pop artisan cheese shop and shopping...

...did I mention the shopping? Montana Avenue has the most fashion forward boutique shops in Santa Monica. You won’t find a Banana Republic here but if that’s what you are looking for, mainstream retail stores and restaurants are within walking distance at the world famous 3rd Street Promenade and Santa Monica Pier.

Ask me about Perry's Cafes Eat. Bike. Play. and their many locations along the beach where you can rent bikes, enjoy a 'Beach Butler' day on the sand with full service including beach chairs, an umbrella, towels and a food/beverage service at your chair.
