About Peri Solder
We purchased this old boarding house when the boys were little as a place to run and raise our kids in. The boys are grown and off in their careers. We still live here but hope to travel more when the house is rented. We have run it as a B&B for the past 24 years and have lots of great stories and fond memories about the house. Ed has been a carpenter remodeling this home and a stay at home dad while Peri has been a realtor and property manager with her own company the last 18 years. Our oldest son is a hydrologist and avid skier currently living in Utah. Nate, the youngest, is playing Left offensive tackle for the New England Patriots. Leadville has been a great place to live and enjoy the outdoors. We hope you will enjoy our family home.
Peri Solder purchased this Lodge in 1989
Why Peri Solder chose Leadville
We fell in love with the Mountains and wanted to find a way to raise our kids in a small town. We found this diamond in the rough and started our mountain adventure. Kids grew up skiing every weekend on the race team then turned into athletic scholars that took them off to college. We have enjoyed the ebbs and flows of business in a small town and now are looking to semi-retire and travel more. This has been our family home for the last 24 years and is held very dear to each and everyone of us. We have been able to share this splendid home and lifestyle and would like to continue in a different way.
What makes this Lodge unique
Every room has it's own personality be it the cozy Twin Lakes room with the old fashion mattel and feel to the Grand Tabor suite with the balcony over looking the yard and Mt Elbert in the background. All bedrooms have their own private baths with additional common rooms to gather in. The house was built as a boarding house so there were details considered for noise and placement of rooms so you don't feel like your are on top of each other. The house sits on several lots with gives you more room to feel a little more relaxed. Plenty of porch and decks to enjoy the many sunny days.
Pool / Spa
Beautiful rental in a great location. Thank you so much!
Fantastic property for large group- plenty of bedrooms, and multiple common areas for everyone to relax.
I'm so glad you enjoyed our home. Thanks for coming.
Excellent Place for a School Group!
Our Outdoor Adventure Club from St. Louis University High School traveled to CO for a ski trip. We loved Ed & Peri's place! There were 20 of us (two adults and 18 high school boys) and their place was perfect -- plenty of space, kitchen facilities were great and the offerings for the boys (games, tv's, etc.) was perfect. Peggy the innskeeper was wonderful and very helpful and I would not hesitate to bring my family or another group back to their charming B & B!
Leadville Trail 100
No better place for a large group looking to race in one of Leadville's legendary events. Two blocks from the start!
Glad you liked the place. Happy Trails
Many historic sites and museums to enjoy. More outdoor adventure than one can handle from mountain biking, hiking, site seeing in the Rocky Mountains clean crisp air.
