About the property

3 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath Home; Sleeps 8

Majestic View Haven has one of the most spectacular views of the northern tip of the Swan Range of the Rocky Mountains from a home that we've seen! Stunning in all seasons, this backdrop will set the stage for your relaxing vacation in the wilds of Montana!

The front porch door opens to the open concept living area featuring a dining table for eight, sitting area with stone gas fireplace and lovely kitchen. I know we mentioned the views, but from your dining area and living area they are so lovely it must be mentioned twice! Also on the main level of the home is the master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom.

Upstairs, is a bunk room (Full bunk beds), a queen bedroom and a shared bathroom. The upstairs loft area is open for those fabulous views, but might not be suitable for small children.

There is a game room in progress above the attached garage - stay tuned. Just an open space right now - just right for sleeping bags?

Open space galore around the home, a pond, and a two car garage to house your vehicle.

Glacier National Park is nearby to complete this perfect Montana getaway location. The North Fork of the Flathead for incredible fishing is just minutes away at the Blankenship Bridge.

If you must, the home is equipped with wireless high speed internet, phone and cable television.

Perfect Home Base for Glacier Park

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our six days in and out of Glacier National Park. Although about 15 minutes from Columbia Falls - or the entrance to Glacier - and extraordinarily private, it never felt isolated because there were other forest homes along the roads in and out. The house was fully air-conditioned, well-furnished, plenty of room, great bedroom layouts, great kitchen. It was very clean and very comfortable. We loved the wrap-around deck and gorgeous views of the park. Master bed mattress was super firm, a favorite for us. We would definitely stay in this house again on a return trip to Glacier.

Fantastic

We stayed in this home for 4 nights and wish we had reserved it for a longer period of time. I agree that the pictures do not do it justice. It is a home you have to see to believe. As previous guests have pointed out, the views from the back porch of this home are truly amazing. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening to watch the sunsets. When we ate in, we ate our meals on the porch. The home is very nicely furnished and extremely comfortable. We were a bit concerned about how secluded it was, but it is just a short drive to Glacier, if you take the back roads.

Fantastic

This is the place for a great Glacier Park experience. Very secluded, tremendous mountain views. Nicely furnished and equipped. We had a great 4 days in the West Glacier area based from this house. Like another reviewer noted, the pictures don't really give you a full idea of the mountain view you will have or how nice the interior is. Highly recommended.

Perfect Montana Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

The first thing I would like to say is if you feel the pictures are great, just wait until you arrive at this place! The house and property is far better in person than in the pictures. This house is huge and very nicely decorated. It is also very secluded. Being that we were in a car, we were a little concerned about the fact that there is about 2 miles of dirt road to get here, but the road was not a problem even with three days of rain and snow on the second day. After the first day here we called the rental company to see if we could extend our stay a couple more days. Thankfully, we were able to do that because on our last morning here, we saw a wolf, two deer and a grizzly bear stroll across the back yard near the little pond. The rental company, Five Star Rental is very easy to work with and went above and beyond for us as we had a little mishap a few hours after arriving. It was after hours and they gladly came out to help. They also gave us some very good information about places to visit while we were here.

I do have to agree with a previous review that the AV system in not very easy to operate. We were never able to actually make it work properly, but let me tell you, you will not need to watch television while you are in this rental.

If you take the back roads, Glacier National Park is about 15 minutes away.

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful and secluded place for your visit to this area of Montana, you will not be disappointed in this rental. It truly deserves to be with a company named "Five Star Rentals." We also send thanks to the owners of this property for allowing us to spend a wonderful week here!

Wow

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great...a few very minor problems (slow drain in master bath and AV system that is sort of tricked out), but overall very livable and spacious and it seems new. Top notch furnishings and finish out as well.

The location was incredible, and I don't think this listing adequately describes where it is situated. It sits on a bluff that is lined up perfectly to see the gap over Lake McDonald (you cannot see the lake itself, of course) and directly into Glacier Park. You can even see the Garden Wall (continental divide) which I figure is roughly 25-30 miles away to the Northeast. You can also see Mt. Stanton, Brown, Cannon and several others of which I already forgot the names. It is absolutely amazing to sit on the back deck and watch the sunrise, and then to see the mountains illuminated later in the day as the sun sets behind you.

It is about a ten minute ride to the west entrance to Glacier if you take the back roads, and maybe 15 minutes to Columbia Falls and 25 to Whitefish. After hiking over 30 miles in the park during the week, it was always nice to come back to this house at the end of the day. We had a great time, and hopefully will get the chance to stay here again someday. WHY DO I LIVE IN TEXAS!!??? The last thing I will say is that the rental company, Five Star Rentals, is incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to them!
