About Nicholas Walster

This home was originally purchased in the early 1990s and has had two major renovations. It is filled with light and love.

Nicholas Walster purchased this house in 1992

Why Nicholas Walster chose East Hampton North

My wife's family has a long history in East Hampton. Her father grew up summering in a house on the very same street. His mother also spent her summers in East Hampton, in the early 1900's - she was one of nine children and her family even had a local beach named after them, for all the time they spent there. This house was purchased mainly because of the two majestic 100+ year old European Fern-Leaf Beech trees that preside over the front garden. The gardens have been developed with care and lovingly tended for over twenty years.

What makes this house unique

Quiet and magnificent, this house exudes charm but offers all the modern conveniences. It is within walking distance of East Hampton town, and a short bicycle ride from Main Beach.

Great location with Pool!

  • 4 of 5

The house could use some updating, but it's very spacious, the pool is awesome, and it is in a great location. Some things to note: wear shoes on grass as both my husband and I got stung by bees. (Beautiful flowers in the back yard so that the trade) Also the pool filters sometimes collect chipmunks. They are living in the backyard. Overall a good experience and nice owners, though we never met them.

charming property, great location and very helpful owner

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the charming house and magnificent property. From the modern, state of the art kitchen to the beautiful pool and landscaped yard, and everything in between, the house was ideal for our family retreat. The children loved their big backyard and pool plus the spacious rooms and big tubs and especially the secret room behind the bookcase. The grownups loved the space, comfort, great location to downtown East Hampton and attentiveness of the owners. We can't wait to go visit again!

A Lovely Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much!

The house was clean, spacious and well equipped with a beautiful kitchen.

Close to town and only a ten minute drive to the beach.

The beautiful grounds were lush and lovely.

A wisteria covered pergola was a lovely place to have dinner.

The beautiful pool. Though we were there early in the season -the owner turned the heat on before we arrived so we could swim! Which we did every day.

The owner was quick to respond and extremely nice.

This was a great place for a large group of people -I highly recommend staying!

Wonderful Vacation Week

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely home for our vacation in August. We found it to be just what we had hoped for...It was bright, roomy, comfortable and was incredibly convenient to either East Hampton town or any of the many beaches. For being so close to town, it has a very private feel. The kitchen is very well stocked which made it so easy....The owners were also extremely accommodating . I would recommend this rental to anyone who would be thinking of vacationing out there....

Where do you live?

Beautiful house, great location and attentive owner

  • 5 of 5

The owner made it really easy for my friends and I to have an amazing time. The house was in perfect condition (the listing pictures don't do the house and grounds justice!!) and the pool and garden provided an idyllic setting for us to lounge, grill and relax. The house is in an extremely convenient location - close to the train station and East Hampton Village, and a short bike ride or 20+ min walk to the beach. The owner is very attentive, easy to reach and extremely pleasant to deal with. We loved it so much we're excited to come back again for Labor Day weekend and hope to rent the house next year for the summer!

Great weekend!

  • 5 of 5

This house is so beautiful and spacious - we were 8 and had plenty of room. The bathrooms are all brand new and very large (and there are tons to go around even for a big group like we were.) the backyard and pool area are absolutely gorgeous. And the location is great - town is a short walk away, and the beach is a scenic bike ride away. We hardly used our car all weekend. Finally, the owner was extremely helpful and prompt with responding to any quesions we had both leading to and during our stay. I highly recommend this house!!
