Pros...

Bryan is prompt and helpful.

This unit is spacious, clean and comfy. The bed is comfortable. The unit is open and upgraded. The unit has full ceiling to floor sliding glass doors allow to view of the outdoor. We kept the blinds up at night and to see the moon and stars at night, full mountain views and partial ocean views during the day. It was awesome to have such views. The air conditioning works well. The kitchen has full sized appliances. It has electric stove top and oven. BTW, the toaster is working fine. This VRBO includes parking, cable and Wifi is great and fast. The bathroom is spacious, there are lots of basket containers you can use to organize your stuff. I must say the sofa bed, pillows and kitchen stuff needed to be upgraded, they are old now. Overall, the resort is clean and quiet. The pool is big, clean and well maintained. There are BBQ grills by the pool, they are kept clean and well maintained. The security are helpful and friendly. They keep the resort ground safe.

Going to the beach..

There are enough bath and beach towels. Beach chairs are available in the unit. The pool is great to chill after beach time.

The condo is a close drive to Kaneana Cave, Makua beach and Keawaula beach. The Keawaula beach and hiking trails area must see, this is where the locals hang out to swim and hike- "apparently is it secret" area and not touristy yet. There are grocery stores and restaurant s along Hwy 93 which is about 15 to 20 miles from the Makaha valley. I recommend that you do your Costco and Walmart run first before heading to Makaha Valley. It is way more expensive buying groceries in the Makaha area.

Cons...

Location and the unit is great if you are looking for a quiet place to stay indoor. The location is far from HNL and Waikiki, need a car to go around. There is traffic along Hwy 93 , the traffic is horrendous, it will take you over 2 hours to get in and out Makaha if you travelling to HNL or Waikiki one way. If you hit the traffic during the day- it can be frustrating. The closest beach is a bit far for the the actual condo. You need to drive to haul all the beach gears. The beach is nice, however we noticed there garbage around the beach area . Also, there seems to be permanent campers along the Leeward coast (Waianea and Makaha shores). So, we go all the way down to Aulani resorts to go to the beach instead, its much nicer and cleaner and quieter. Overall, 4 stars for the unit but 1 star for the location.

Lovely Stay at MVT for VRBO First Timers. Thanks Bryan!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at MVT from Jan. 28 to Feb. 12, 2017. This was both our first time in Hawaii and our first experience with any type of VRBO. We were very pleased with the condo and found the description and user reviews to be accurate. The views all around are indeed gorgeous. The grounds of the complex are immaculate. The heated salt water pool is lovely and easy to access from this unit. The beach is not far although we recommend driving if you are taking any beach gear along. The condo is tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure was good, although I would have liked hotter water. I enjoyed the many baskets around to keep things organized. The unit was a fantastic size for 2 people (although it might be close quarters for 4 adults staying any length of time.) The kitchen is beautifully done, although as mentioned in other reviews, it could use new and improved pots and pans, and also some dishware. We also found the toaster finicky and the dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes very well. These were very minor issues to our enjoyment of the condo and we had already read that others had experienced same, so we weren’t surprised. The WiFi was excellent (what a difference from sharingwith 100’s of other hotel guests!). It was great to have the picnic cooler which we used daily, the boogie boards and beach chairs. It is worth looking around when you arrive to see what items are already there. Overall, we had everything we needed and felt quite “at home”. We purchased groceries at the local Tamura Supermarket. There were a few staple items in the condo which we appreciated–not sure if this is the norm or if they were left by other guests. There are major stores in Kapolei, such as Target, Wal-Mart and Costco, about a 25 minute drive away. There are also many mainstream restaurants, activities, and shopping in this newer area. The West Shore is beautiful and we are glad to have seen/stayed in this area. A vehicle is an absolute necessity, although there is a bus line running from the condo entrance gate. Tourist attractions are not seemingly far in distance, however most attractions are far in driving time. Plan accordingly. The condo rules are very strict but we feel this is the very reason all is so well kept and secure. MVT staff was friendly and helpful. Bryan was excellent to deal with in promptness, information provided and flexibility in arrangements. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

We really like the Towers, and this was our third stay there ! This unit was also the nicest !

  • 5 of 5

We first visited the towers in 1996 ,97 and 2008 and we have to say it is still as lovely as it was back then ! The grounds and pool are are very well presented and the beautiful although a bit noisy at times, Peacocks are still residents !

Bryan's condo was updated as shown and clean and provides your beach toys and picnic cooler which is a plus ! Also it's the best price we could find at the towers as they have gotten pretty expensive to rent over the years ! And when you have terrible exchange rates to deal with it can really add up . So all you Canadians and Aussie's need to consider this one you won't be disappointed !

The only drawback for us was it could use some oven cookware and the pots need updating ! Only because I have to do my own cooking due to dietary concerns , otherwise I thought the unit was great ! Someone else mentioned it's a long way to get to the pool ! Not so there are a few flights of stairs going right down to the pool gates , you just turn left out of the unit !🤗񕰮

There is a fabulous seafood restaurant on Farrington Hwy , about halfway to Ko'Olina sorry I forget the name . It's upstairs in a building with two other eateries .

Great beaches in the area and Costco, Walmart and other shopping not to far away as well as Tamura and the Wainaie store ! Longs drugs etc.

Bryan was easy to contact and got back to me right away anytime I emailed ,which was appreciated ! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and neither should you !

Thanks so much Bryan !

We love this place. You are waking up to the ocean view on one side and a mountain view on other.

  • 5 of 5

We have a blast at your place. This is our 3rd times at Oahu and this was the best. My kids already asked if they could return next year. The place has all the amenities for a great vacation. Great communication with the owner. We are definitely coming back in the future. Regards,

  • 5 of 5

We had a great and wonderful time at this place. All the family were so happy and we were very surprised by the beauty of the view of the place. The condo was very clean and very good energy. We will definitely be back to the same condo and the owner of the condo also was super nice by always on top of email communications and he made sure that everything are OK with us. We all felt at our own home. I definitely give 5 stars.

Thank you Bryan and we be back again. Regards Jam

Loved staying here

  • 4 of 5

Loved our stay at this condo. Unit was clean and the property immaculate. Check in was easy and all staff were friendly. The area was quiet minus the peacocks on the property but they made it seem that much more tropical. Views from this unit were amazing and the beaches in the area were fantastic. BBQ area and Pool were cleaned everyday and the condo was pretty much as advertised. A car is a must but if you are looking for a quiet area this is perfect. Traffic in and out of Makaha was not good but worth it to stay in such a nice place. Would have been five stars if not for a few minor details. The toaster in the unit did not work properly, the mattress on the pull out sofa could use replacing and the ice maker in the fridge was very noisy. These were minor complaints that could easily be fixed. Bryan was easy to deal with and I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great experience and terrific value.
