Our 4th visit to Rich & Christy's two cottages - we've stayed in each one twice now - and we'll certainly be back. The quiet wooded setting feels peaceful the minute we step out of our car, and Christy's many thoughtful touches in the cottage - breakfast food waiting in the fridge, blankets ready on the rocking chairs outside - immediately make us feel at home. The cottage is immaculately clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils, plates, etc. as well as a collection of board games and books, along with items you may have forgotten like shampoo and razors. Highly recommended as a couple's getaway if you like a wooded setting and would rather hear wind in the trees than traffic noise outside your bedroom.
We enjoyed our stay at the mountain cottage just outside of Waynesboro, PA. The cabin was clean and inviting. The owner was very nice and near by in case you needed anything. The cottage didn't have a television, but WIFI was available and there were lots of games to play. It was really great to be away from all the noise (the television included). The mountains were beautiful and a welcomed change of scenery. My only negative would be that the window air conditioner was kind of loud. However, the cabin had a wonderful porch on it and trees all around so it was much cooler with a nice breeze so you could turn the air conditioner off.
This cabin in amazing :o) it's quite and absolutely perfect for a nice weekend getaway for my husband and I. Waynesboro is an adorable little town filled with some cute little restaurants that are just a short drive from the cabin.
Also - the family that owns the cabin are some of the nicest people you'll meet anywhere! I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a nice weekend away from the city.
On a side note - the front porch of the cabin is an amazing spot for Pokémon hunting lol all kinds are rare Pokémon would pop up constantly.
This was a great cottage for relaxation within short distance of many Civil War sites. The cottage is very cozy with nice linens, cute kitchen and ample space for my huband and I. We enjoyed relaxing in the cottage, especially on the front porch with rocking chairs (especially on those rainy days). Being surrounded by trees and flowers could not be better. It was so kind of the owners to leave a eggs, juice and snacks so we didn't have to run to the store when we arrived late. They were very nice and responsive to our one little need. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Lovely cottage, we had an excellent stay. Warm and inviting on arrival, everything you need and more provided. There were even some essentials in the fridge. Only comments, not complaints, just observations, the parking area could be tricky in the wet (bare earth and steep slope), and the cooker hood fan didn't work. But very minor things in an otherwise wonderful rental. Thanks
We enjoyed two nights in this cozy cottage just as the leaves were starting to turn. We found the cottage just as we expected it. It was all ready for our evening arrival and the fridge was stocked for our next morning's needs. We were able to easily get to Gettysburg for a full day's enjoyment and return back to our cottage in the woods. We wish we could have stayed longer.
