Exceptional Experience

The home and grounds are extraordinary, as were our hosts Cheri and Ray. We came for our daughter's wedding weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the elegant and relaxing spaces both inside and out. The view from the hill was stunning. The house was the perfect size for our extended family, everyone had their own private space along with multiple areas where groups could congregate to unwind and visit in between wedding events. Our room was spacious and well laid out. We particularly appreciated the beautiful bridal closet with pulley system to help us keep the gown safe before the event. We only had time for breakfast one morning, but that meal was incredible and the chance to relax for a bit very greatly appreciated. We highly recommend the B&B for a visit or an event. Friends who stopped by to see it during our stay were so impressed by the home and the setting that they are planning to come back to stay for their own daughter's wedding. My husband and I are looking forward to visiting again when we can both relax and enjoy all that the B&B has to offer.

Over the top

From the moment you approach the property, up the gravel drive, around the stone walls and up to the entrance, the property is warm, welcoming and simply put, fabulous. Every detail has been thought of. From the plush beds and extra fine linens, to coffee stations throughout the house. Everything is here. If you've arrived from out of town and just ready to relax, the property houses its own Alchohol and Beverage sales. Yes - just enjoy and settle up at the end of the stay. We even took advantage of the local fare, having it delivered and heated up in a enormous beautiful chef's kitchen. The following morning, chef Ray prepared a delicious breakfast made fesh from local markets. There really isn't anything the owners haven't thought of and if there is something missing, leave them a note, make a suggestion. Cheri and Ray are the upmost, professional, warm and hospitable folks you'll meet. We can't wait to rebook and take advantage of the heated salt water pool.

Fabulous House with Beautiful Landcaping

We had a wonderful family vacation at the Hidden View B&B. The house was extremely clean and the yard was gorgeous. Every room has a different theme and automatic lights made for safety at night. They had a swimming pool that we took full advantage of and lots of planes you could sit around the property. Located right in the middle of wine country! Highly recommend!

Superb!

This was a weekend visit for my son’s wedding, with some of my family staying at Hidden View. Booking our stay here was the best thing we ever did, with the exception of also having the wedding there. The house was perfect, plenty of room, clean and the linens were the most comfortable thing any of us have ever experienced. Every room was well thought out and gave us plenty of room to do things together or gather in smaller groups to enjoy watching tv or just catching up. The hosts gave us our privacy but was always accessible if we had any questions. They assisted us with having a few larger gatherings that made our wedding weekend even more enjoyable. Our only wishes are that the weather was a little sunnier so we could have enjoyed the pool and lovely grounds more, and would have loved to stay even longer. Thanks Cheri for an unforgettable weekend

Fantastic retreat for a bridal party

We rented this property as the base for our daughter in law to be and her bridal party, it was absolutely perfect. The main suite was set up so that makeup and hair could be done there in a comfortable group setting and there was even a large bridal dressing room. The property is lovely and the pool was great for relaxation. The owner was understanding of time issues and very responsive and caring. The group all just loved and appreciated the venue, it made them feel special as indeed they all are. I feel lucky I found it and that it was even better than the pictures suggest.

Once upon a time...during apandemic

Due to the pandemic my family had the unique opportunity to come together at Hidden View under one quarantine bubble. We experienced the B&B decorated for fall, Christmas, and winter. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate my daughter’s baby shower, Christmas, New Year, and a family birthday! The five suites comfortably held my family of 9 adults ages ranging from 78 to 21. Each suite had a great view of either the grounds or mountains. The in-room fire place and heaters were wonderful for keeping the suites warm and cozy. The experience is truly a dream home (away from home). The kitchen with double ovens, double dishwashers, a Jenn air and gas stove was the heart of the house as our family loves to cook and eat. It’s spacious without feeling too spaced out. It made for a special experience while some family members sat at the kitchen table and played board games while others cooked meal or helped prep—we could all still be together in the same room with enough space. The sunroom was perfect for my father to enjoy his book or for anyone to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and some conversation. The plants surrounding you made it a great atmosphere. The property is gorgeous, and we experienced it in the gardens dormant season. We enjoyed walks on the trails and took advantage of the many places to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The wood-burning fire pit was a great place to enjoy sunset happy hours with Ray and Cheri! The living room fireplace provided the Hallmark movie feel especially with the beautiful Christmas decorations (and our one big snow storm). Because of Covid, Ray and Cheri weren’t operating under the traditional breakfast included, but we were treated repeatedly to delicious frittatas, baked yummies, soups and dinner(many of which I asked for the recipes). On our final morning, Ray and Cheri had the most delicious sit down two course breakfast for us! Prior to booking, I spoke with Cheri about the needs of our family. We had 2 working remotely in finance, one in hospitality, one teaching, and one participating in college classes remotely. Ray made sure that everyone had enough bandwidth to execute their work. My husband set up an office on the sitting room side of tranquility for the 8 weeks, others worked from the Gift Store Office or out of the sitting space in their suites. The bay window in the Tranquility Suite had a great sitting desk with a view of the mountains. We can't wait to return!

Gorgeous Property - five stars

We rented the whole property for a long weekend, including a baby shower on Saturday. The house and property could not be more beautiful. It is pristine and the attention to every tiny detail is impressive. Several guests at the baby shower asked for info as they wanted to plan an event or weekend. We had a fantastic time. Cheri and Ray, the owners, rolled with our somewhat varied arrival and departure schedules and were there if we needed anything. But otherwise, they gave us all the privacy we wished for. It could not have been more perfect. We hope to return soon. P.S. we practically lived in the gorgeous pool

Ray loves being outdoors with nature and is great with landscaping and plants. He is also a fabulous in the kitchen and makes wonderful meals. Cheri has always been creative and organized and she loves decorating and hosting guests. Together, they are the hosts of Hidden View.

We knew we wanted a property with amazing views, and a house that wasn’t like every other house... and Hidden View delivered! It is a custom-built stone and stucco ranch elevated on Short Hill mountain with amazing panoramic views. We also required that each room had its own ensuite bath, and the 35,000 gallon pool — now heated and converted to saltwater — was an added bonus!

Just an hour outside DC, Hidden view is a world away yet and easy escape from the concrete city into the rural mountain side with so many things to see, savior and explore near by.
