Thanks for having a look at our beach front condo located in Tropical Winds Condos, Gulf Shores, AL, Unit 103!

To describe our condo in a few words: :-)

FIRST & FOREMOST - Numerous guests have told us what sets us apart from other owners & rental companies is our communication. As soon as you make your reservation in our condo, we will keep you informed via emails so you won't have to set up any of your own reminders except the dates of your vacation! We strive to make your beach vacation in our condo go as smoothly as possible!! We really do treat our condo like our second home, & we hope you will do the same.

1 - Our condo is located directly on the beach, not a side view of the Gulf & not across the street! You are only about 60 steps from our condo's door to the gorgeous white Gulf sand!!
2 - Our Condo has 2 bedrooms & 2 full baths with fantastic views of the Gulf from our living area, dining area, kitchen, & master bedroom, & it is fully furnished.
3 - Our condo has keyless entry - you will be able to set your own 3-6 digit code to open our condo's door - no keys to carry around!
4 - In Oct 2016 we purchased a new bright blue & white counter height table & 4 chairs so you can easily see over the railing! (See a pic here on our VRBO site.)
5 - We have 3 Smart, flat screen TV's with Blu-Ray DVD players; 1 in the living area & 1 in each bedroom. Also, we have expanded channels including SEC & most are HD! Guests have left numerous kids' DVD's & books for mom & dad in our nook in the condo's bedroom hallway. Help yourself or leave your favorite for the next guest!
6 - The kitchen, all furniture, & mattresses were recently purchased new, including an upgraded mattress on the sofa bed (which we've slept on, & it's very comfortable!)
7 - We have a new full size washer & dryer installed June 2016
8 - Both bedrooms have ceiling fans. We also have a new central air conditioning/heating system installed Oct 2015.
9 - We are located on the lowest floor with units, the 2nd floor. So if you don't want to take the elevator to our condo, you can walk up 12 steps to our floor!
10 - You can pay for your vacation in our condo here on VRBO 480108 with your VIsa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Debit Card (as long as it has the Visa or MasterCard logo on it,) or with E-Check (which is just like paying with your personal check.) We do not have access to any of your account numbers.
11- We have fast internet secured with a password requirement.
12 - THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GUESTS ALLOWED IN OUR CONDO AT ANY TIME IS 6. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. YOU MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT OUT CONDO, & PROOF OF AGE IS REQUIRED.

Great news for driving to Gulf Shores! There is a new road off I-10 that eliminates most of the traffic & lights on Hwy 59, (the usual way you would drive to Gulf Shores off I-10.) Take Exit 49 off I-10, (which is approximately 5 miles east of the I-10 & Hwy 59 exit.) This new 12.8 mile road is called Baldwin Beach Express. It connects to the Foley Beach Express, (where you'll turn left,) but you'll turn right on Roscoe Rd prior to the toll. (It's approximately 10 miles from your turn on Foley Beach Express to Roscoe Rd.) Follow Roscoe Rd around to Hwy 4, 1-1/2 miles, then turn right on Hwy 4, & it's 2-1/2 miles to Hwy 59, & you're in Gulf Shores & approximately 5 miles from our condo at Tropical Winds! (When Hwy 59 ends, & you see The HangOut, you'll turn right onto West Beach Blvd - we're 1 mile down on the left.)

Our condo has 2 bedrooms. The master has a king bed, ceiling fan, large closet, & it's own bathroom with tub/shower. Also, there is a door from the master bedroom to the balcony overlooking the beach & Gulf! The 2nd bedroom has twin beds, a ceiling fan, & the 2nd bathroom with tub/shower is located off the main living area. Because we have a queen sofa bed with the upgraded, memory foam mattress, our condo sleeps 6! Our condo is spacious at approximately 1,100 sq ft.

Our unit is fully furnished, has tile floors throughout, & a full size washer & dryer. Our complex has a small onsite exercise room, (to help you keep your beach body after enjoying the awesome local cuisine!) There's also a party room available, (separate fee from our condo association.) The complex is only 32 units.

Our condo is on the lowest floor with units. second floor. The ground floor below us has a large, covered seating area with tables right next to the pool - great to watch the kids! There are separate men's & women's bathrooms, & an exercise room for you to use, all located on the ground floor. The unloading entrance to the building is covered.

Tropical Winds Condos are located 1 mile west of the intersection of Hwy 59 & West Beach Blvd, which is considered 'the hub' of Gulf Shores! Our address is 1003 West Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.

Maximum 2 vehicles in Tropical Winds parking lot per reservation. You must have a Guest Registration Certificate, (also called a Parking Pass,) in your vehicle at all times while parked in our parking lot that can easily be seen by our building security. Parking is on a first come first serve basis. Also, you must be at least 25 years old to rent our condo, & proof of age is required.

Your arrival at our condo is after 4:00PM CST & your departure time is prior to 10:00AM CST. Your keyless code to our condo's door will only work between these times. We are strict on your arrival & departure times so it will be properly cleaned for you as well as for our next guest!

The following is our cancellation policy (which is part of our Rental Agreement you will agree to when you reserve our condo:)

1) The total amount for your stay is due in full if your arrival date is less than 30 days away. Your deposit will be refunded within 14 days of your departure date if there is no damage to our condo or missing items.

2) If your reservation is more than 30 days away, your refundable deposit is due the date you book your reservation along with VRBO's Service Fee. Your rent payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival date. We will send you a reminder email approximately 14 days prior to this date. If your final rent payment is not received at least 30 days prior to your arrival date, your reservation will be canceled, & you will forfeit your deposit.

3) You can cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival date, & your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel less than 60 days prior to your arrival date, you will forfeit your deposit.

4) If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your arrival date, your rent & deposit will be forfeited. You can purchase travel insurance by calling CSA Travel Protection directly at 866.298.6846. No refunds for early departure for any reason.

5) You can change your date of arrival & departure date up to 60 days prior to your arrival date, providing the dates you want are still available.

About the owner: We check on our condo frequently to make sure it's ready for our guests! We have hired the best cleaning service available & maintenance crew, & they communicate with us after every guest departs. We consider our Tropical Winds Condo Unit 103 to be our 'home away from home' as well as your 'home away from home!!' We really do treat it as if it were our own home!

Why the Owner Chose Gulf Shores, AL, USA:
Why did we buy this condo in June 2013? We wanted a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo that was right on the beach (not across the street from the beach & not a side view of the beach;) the building must have no more than 35 units (Tropical Winds has 32;) it must be located on a lower floor (we're on 2;) the owner's association must have a history of good maintenance on the building, & the condo owners must take good care of their individual condo; the units must have a sprinkler system & must have central air & heat! After a lengthy search, we finally found our condo in Tropical Winds! It has been a labor of love to upgrade it since we bought it in June 2013. We've made many, many changes inside our condo since that date. Also, there are the beautiful, white, sandy beaches, great food, water sports, a zoo, golfing, discount and boutique shopping close, ziplining, fishing, etc, etc! There is something for every age to do in Gulf Shores!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our condo is decorated in bright, fun colors! It's on a lower floor so if you don't want to wait for the elevator, just walk up about 12 steps to our floor. We have 3 flat screen Smart TV's & 3 Blu-Ray DVD players. Our internet has been upgraded in speed/bandwidth, & it is secure with a password. Another plus is the entry to Tropical Winds building is covered for unloading your car. We really do treat our Tropical Winds condo as if it were our own home! We love to share it with our guests!!
