About Alan Kremer

We're an active family of 5 that loves travel, exploration and the outdoors. We make our home in the Twin Cities, but love the shores of Lake Superior and getting 'up north'.

Alan Kremer purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Alan Kremer chose Northwest

There's something special about being in the woods. We found this property in the early Spring of 2013 after the last big snow and just couldn't escape the appeal of the absolute peace and quiet.

We were hooked from beginning and knew that this would be the perfect year round get-away.

This is the second time our family has vacationed here. It is located in a great area, very quiet and the cabin and sunroom are roomy yet cozy. We love spending time here!

Great time had by all...

  • 5 of 5

I booked this cabin and came with 2 of my sisters and my daughter. We loved the cabin! It was so nice and peaceful there and was nice to have the privacy we all enjoy while cabin/camping. The cabin provided everything we would have needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the nice quiet nights by the fire and the great supply of firewood! We had been in Bayfield kayaking the sea caves and made our way to this cabin after where we took in a another kayak trip on the Brule River. I would love to come back and do the ATV trails someday. Thanks for sharing your home away from home with us!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This was our 3rd year staying here. We absolutely love it. It is close to Iron River, Ashland, Bayfield, and Duluth, but remote enough that you feel all alone. The 4 season room is great for spreading out.

Thanks again!

Shangri La!!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved the place. Brought our dog along and had plenty of room for her to run around. Very clean and well kept. Communication with owners was quick and helpful.

Beds were very comfortable and bunk beds were larger then we expected.

Our family would highly recommend this place.

Summer 2017 vacation was great!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The house is as great as the pictures show. Very well designed newer home. Even though we didn't need it there is in floor heat for the whole home in addition to a neat gas stove in the main living area. We had our boat along to do some fishing, swimming and tubing. Enjoyed great fishing three evenings at near by Long Lake (launch is $5). Really enjoyed the Pike chain of lakes about a 10 minute drive from the cottage. Both lakes mentioned have crystal clear water and nice sandbars to anchor and swim from. We also ventured out to see some waterfalls in Iron and Ashland counties, boated on Chequamegon bay and tour Bayfield and Madeline island. We really enjoyed our first trip to this part of the state! Thanks
