Welcome to your Crystal River Enclave - A peaceful retreat awaits you overlooking the river! Step out the french doors to the flagstone patio and enjoy the views of the beautiful Crystal River in the backyard and spectacular Ragged and Chair Mountain Peaks.
Indulge in Indoor and Outdoor spaces designed for relaxing in extravagance, while vacationing in this scenic and serene setting, surrounded by mountains and beautifully landscaped gardens adjacent to the river.
Dine at the fire pit, on the river deck or the covered flagstone patio while listening to the song birds and river. Or, choose to feast inside in the great room with the fire crackling and the 8' surrounding windows highlighting the peaks to the south and river to the east. The great room is comprised of the kitchen, large island, dining table and seating area with down sectional and corner fireplace. With more than 24' feet of glass the views are outstanding and bring the outside in.
The library fireplace is toasty and warm while cuddling up with one of the many selections from the well stocked bookshelves.
The gourmet kitchen affords even the most picky chefs with the accouterments to create a lavish meal - you can even pick fresh herbs from the garden or grill the fish you caught in your backyard. Use the Viking stove or grill on the gas BBQ to prepare your feasts.
The Master Bedroom affords 13' of glass overlooking the Crystal River. You will feel as if you are sleeping in a luxurious hotel - outdoors! The king size Tempur-Pedic bed with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets and the sound of the river out your window will lull you to sleep. The ensuite bath is accessed through antique Chinese sliding doors where your air tub, under a candle wall, affords star gazing views at night. The steam and rain shower will rejuvenate you after a hard day of relaxing on the river deck!
The large upstairs queen bedroom with plush pillow top mattress and 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets offers its own retreat looking out to the south and north. The stone and tiled bath offers separate shower and tub and large vanity area.
The lower level queen bedroom offers the comfort of an adjustable air baffled mattress for more or less firmness on each side of the bed with separate controls for each guest. An adjacent bath has a custom tiled shower.
The lower level media room with surround sound and 100 DVD library is perfect for a rainy day.
The upstairs also has an office which could be utilized as an extra guest room with an inflatable bed (bed and linens are available). This room would then share the upstairs bath. Otherwise, relax in the cozy chair and read a book looking out at Ragged Peak.
Come and enjoy the hammock at the Crystal River Enclave!
Our family just returned from the most wonderful vacation at the Crystal River Enclave. This home by far was the most stunning, yet comfortable & relaxing home we have ever been in, and we did not want to leave! Both Connie & Carey are wonderful hosts that make sure you have anything & everything you need. Truly good people who care that you enjoy your stay. But how could you not?! River sounds thru out the home immediately relaxes you, and your soul is rejuvenated. The Crystal River Valley is by far our favorite place to visit, the scenery truly breathtaking! Marble is a warm, welcoming mountain mining town, and Slow Groovin' BBQ is a MUST. Redstone is the most picturesque one street town you will ever see. Too many things to list and do in this area. And you are right in between the adventures in Glenwood Springs that awaits the entire family, and the fabulous Aspen area.
There is no chance you will find a more beautiful, serene home to stay in, and we cannot wait to come back!
Thank you Connie & Cary for opening up your amazing home!!!
PS Do NOT miss going to their Marble Distillery in downtown Carbondale, and trying their award winning mixtures! REALLY yummy, and very cool place!
We stayed here in June of 2015. The place is nice, but do not rent from this Owner. He will not refund our security deposit. Of course, there is no reason not to refund our deposit. We honestly left the place better than how we found it. While he has told us that the deposit should have been sent, that it will be sent, and that he is "committed" to paying us, almost a year has gone by and we are waiting for our refund. Very unprofessional. Now we have to sue him to get our refund back. Renters beware!
We stayed here in late July 2015 and absolutely loved every minute. Hearing the Crystal River from vented windows at all times of the day and night was heavenly. The house has every amenity you would want--a nice big open kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds and lots and lots of windows to view the mountains and even witness the storms rolling in. It's in between Carbondale and Marble and close to Redstone if you need a meal out. Driving in any direction affords gorgeous mountain, river, and meadow views. We engaged in hiking nearby plus bike riding in Carbondale and fly fishing on the river behind the house. We would definitely stay here again and felt very sad to leave this luxurious retreat and phenomenally scenic area! Plus, the owners were easy to reach whenever we had a question or needed something. This place is top notch!
The pictures do not do this home justice. It is beautifully decorated and very spacious. The master bedroom and master bath are incredible. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this home if you're staying in the Marble/Redstone area - we could not have been happier with the home, with Carey and with the area. Wonderful trip.
We spent four days here, getting together with our Texas and Colorado kids, totally loving our time at the Crystal River Enclave. This amazing property provides a family both places to gather and quiet privacy. The home is architecturally stunning and very comfortably appointed, but the focus is the natural beauty and peace of the mountains and Crystal River. We loved sharing coffee and meals on the porch and by the river and even did some fishing. Great fly fishing awaits fishermen on the Crystal, Roaring Fork, and Frying Pan Rivers. One day we went to Aspen and hiked the Maroon Bells hike, rode the gondola up Aspen Mountain and had lunch, and explored Aspen. We took the scenic drive over to
Marble as the sun was setting over the mountains. This is truly God's country and the Crystal River has
cast it's spell over us this week. The owners of this property are wonderfully helpful, and we are so appreciative of our time in their very special home. We will definitely return and definitely stay longer!
Not much more to say! This home is extraordinary -- extremely well thought out and absolutely stunning. And the setting -- gorgeous! The owners are wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. We'd recommend this VRBO to anyone who wishes to spend a relaxing time in the beautiful Crystal River Valley.
