Family get together

What a great place! Great location. Great views.

We had a blast renting this house with my family. We were close to all the shopping on Bay Street and enjoy a meal at a restaurant facing the waterfront park. The kids were in the water all the time. The ladder on the float was very nice. We also got a charge out of watching the dolphins swim right past the dock!

All the rooms were nicely furnished and Keurig coffee maker was a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again!

Easy access to everything you need

  • 4 of 5

My husband's family has been coming to Beaufort since the 1930's. I have been coming since the early 80's. I rented this house so that we would have a dock for our boat and it worked out even better than we planned. The view of the water and the homes across the river are awesome and you're not far from anything you need - groceries, gas, shopping - it was great. We plan on coming back and renting this place in a few months!

We rented this house with another family two weeks ago. Everything worked out so well because each of the bedrooms had its own full bathroom. All the kids slept together in their own huge room. The beds were comfortable and clean. My son wound up falling asleep on the floor watching tv and I was very glad that the rugs were really clean. The whole house was well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked. We liked having the Keurig coffee maker to use in the morning. The kitchen and just about every other room has a beautiful view of the water. We brought our boat which we were able to launch at the ramp right down the street and kept it tied up at the dock behind the house. We were able take the boat out even when the tide was low. The kids loved being able to go out on their own and walk down the street on the sidewalk to the Dairy Queen to get ice cream. The town of Beaufort is just a five minute drive. We all loved this place and had so much fun!

The home has a good location and adequate space. The access to the water by ramp is a great feature. The water in all of the toilets has a very nasty odor. Smells like sulfur and did not get any better as the days passed. Sliding screen door falls off track, rotted wood on entry ramp up to front door, countertop trim falling off. Little things but noticeable as a whole.

Owner's Response: We are sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with our home but we are thankful for your honest feedback and have addressed the concerns you had with the property. We have had a new water meter installed so there is no more sulfur smell. The front porch has been redone, no more rotten wood. The kitchen backsplash has been fixed and the screen door put back on track. I only wish you would have notified us while you were staying so we could have addressed these issues sooner. Do not hesitate to call and notify us of any problems you have with our home during your next stay. Thanks and we look forward to having you back soon.

My stay on Lady's Island, Beaufort SC in Jan with my girlfriend

  • 5 of 5

I made the trip from NY and stayed at this lovely home last January with my girlfriend. The house was very clean and the views are fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the dock each night and loved watching the sunsets. We also brought our small boat as there is a nice dock and used it frequently to tour the area. The living area is large enough to have a group of friends over and there is a large patio table and chairs that can accommodate 8 + people. The furniture and TV's are in excellent condition. You are only a mile from down town Beaufort Village a nice walk or bike ride. The are is quiet and peaceful. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking to stay in a beautiful location.

What a great place this is! The view is fantastic especially the sunsets. Each room has its own TV with DVD player, so the kids could wind down at the end of the day. With the ocean so close and the floating dock in the backyard, we were always in the water. The float has a very nice ladder, so getting back on the dock is very easy. At night, we were all able to keep enjoying the outdoors since there is a very large outdoor table with 8 chairs, along with a BBQ. We shared this house with another couple, so it was important to us that we had enough room. With a bathroom in each of the bedrooms, no one was inconvenienced. The house is also beautifully decorated and we felt right at home,
