About E'Lane

We are a retired couple from Texas. We love quiet nature retreats and being with people. This place is great for both! We would like for others to be able to experience it.

E'Lane purchased this chateau / country house in 2010

Why E'Lane chose West Fork

We originally purchased this home for a place to stay when we came to visit our son and his family. We wanted a fun place where we could gather without feeling crowded, a place that would create good memories for the grand kids. It has turned out to be beyond our wildest expectations. It is a peaceful place to play and relax.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The deck that is across the back allows us to enjoy nature to the fullest from birds and wildlife to the sound of the little seasonal brook trickling over the rocks. A gazebo equipped with a hammock allows for lazy naps. Yet, all this private peace and quiet is only minutes from town and the University of Arkansas. Fayetteville is full of things to do and see, including Crystal Bridges, the largest collection of american art in the world. Yet, true the the 'Natural State' it is surrounded by lakes, parks and unbelievable beauty.

THE best place !!!

  • 5 of 5

This is my first time in VRBO and couldn't have asked more..

E'lane (Owner) helped us every time we called her. I would say she is one of the best host. She was so much helpful. We forgot our LED projector in the property when we checked out. we called her and explained the situation. She found the item and even mailed to us :) :) .. Such a nice person!!!. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends.

About the property, its located in a very nice calm place with a big hall and enough bed for 14 adults.

The interior is well designed and has everything you may need in a cabin. Best place!!!

Private and secluded but close to Fayetteville

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay! We had 11 people in town for my daughter's graduation from the U of A. We rented both houses which was perfect. Location was off the beaten path but close enough to get to Fayetteville quickly. We loved how secluded and private it was. The deck was amazing and they had a fire pit and firewood there to use. We hung out there every night. Awesome kitchen with everything you need. You do have to take a gravel road to get there so just be prepared for your car to be dirty. We had a couple of bumps but E'Lane quickly took care of everything ASAP. We look forward to coming back again.

Good for a big group

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful cabin that feels more secluded than it is. Not too far from the main strip and very close to SDC. Great for a large family or group

Great location for a group to spend the weekend

  • 5 of 5

In Fayetteville for U of A Fall Graduation and the location was perfect. Just a short ride up the interstate and we were on campus. The space is great for a family gathering, we had three families - 11 people (in main and guest house) and had plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen area is large enough for multiple people to be working and nicely stocked with pots/pans and plenty of dishes for a large group. The common areas were open and spacious for us all to hang out together. Outside deck gives you a great view and even more added space if weather permits. The guest house is just across the driveway and allows for a separate space including LR and full kitchen if someone in your group needs some alone time. :-)

The house is located about a mile up a gravel road and driveway has a steep downhill before reaching the house which could be an issue depending on weather, but plenty of space for cars on the circle drive. I would recommend this property for anyone spending time in Fayetteville or for a weekend get away for a group. So much nicer than being in a hotel.

Very nice home secluded away from everything but close enough to town.

  • 5 of 5

Home is very nice. We were staying for bikes blues and bbq rally. The only drawback was the gravel road leading to the house even though it was well maintaned. With all of us being on our bikes it was of course impossible to keep them clean. You know how bikers are about thier machines. All and all we were very satisfied with the home itself and the location.

Owner's Response: I’m glad you enjoyed our home despite the gravel road. Perhaps it will be paved one day. Neighbors with horses don’t want to pull trailers down a steep paved road in icy weather. So I guess there are pros and cons. Thanks for your comments.
