Welcome to the lake house. Situated on a dead end gravel road this 4BR/2BA 1300 square foot home has a cozy rustic feel that will let you take full advantage of the lake. The yard gently slopes down to the waters edge allowing for easy access to the shoreline and 38' floating dock to enjoy all your watersport desires. The Gut which is the body of water on Lake Champlain that connects the inland sea with the open lake is protected on all sides allowing for calm waters for small craft and at the same time offering easy access to the rest of the lake. Walk down the street to Ladds Landing Marina for all of your boating needs. Western views over The Gut allow for wonderful sunsets and views of the Adirondacks in the distance.

About Douglas Glendening
I am originally from the southern Adirondack park and spent my summers near Lake Placid on the lake every year creating memories that last a lifetime. Work and life has steered me away from the Northeast and I finally have my chance to re-esatablish a foothold in the area. Not to worry though as we have a local property manager that can assist you with any concerns you may have. We are very excited to aquire this property as we plan to have another generation of memories created here. We are pleased to be able to share it with you.
Douglas Glendening purchased this House in 2017
Why Douglas Glendening chose Grand Isle
The island community on Lake Champlain has been wonderful to visit. Close to Burlington and Montreal yet it is away from it all. We selected this property because of its gentle sloping yard down to the beach and dock area which makes for easy lake access. With a west facing property it is easy to imagine sitting in an adirondack chair overlooking the lake watching the sunset as boats drift by. We can't imagine a better way to spend the summer days.
What makes this House unique
We will offer a few non motorized watercraft (i.e. canoe & paddleboat) but with Ladds Landing Marina a short walk down the street you have the unique benefit of a full service marina. In addition, the dead-end gravel road can put your mind at ease that there will be little road noise. And with no street to cross or stairs to the water there is no hesitation to let the kids fully enjoy the benefits of the lake.

Beautiful home. Had everything we needed in a wonderful setting.
A great home-base to explore the islands, visit Burlington, and hang out right there at the lake house. Beautiful sunsets!
The perfect lake house!
This lake house was immaculate, nicely decorated and welcoming for our family of 8.
We enjoyed the sunsets on the lake, fishing and playing games on the lawn.
Outstanding in every category!!
Awesome location for a great vacation!
The cabin is just lovely. Cozy, comfortable, very clean and very well equipped. Awesome lake front yard for beautiful sunsets and star gazing. Didn’t want to leave!
One HOT Week
My family stayed in the Lake House during the week of July 4 with temperatures in the 90's every day. The new A/C unit worked great. We came to go fishing and the dock was large enough to put the deck boat on one side and the bass boat on the other. The beds were comfortable and the grandkids got a charge over the bunk bed. The hand laid stone shower was nice and roomy. The next time we come to Lake Champlain we'll rent this house again.
Thank you for taking the time to give us such a great review. We look forward to seeing you again in the future!
Our stay was great! The owner had great communication and kept me informed on what was happening before & during my stay. House was very clean, a little cobwebby outside on furniture but hey what do expect when you out in nature. :) I would defiantly rent this house again.
Wonderful spot, cooperative host!
Comfortable accommodations, would reccomend!
Thanks Kris! You're a great guest. Hope to see you again. Doug.
