About Maria Lima
My family manages 5 hotels in Isla, this is our very first beach and ocean front House and we are very excited!
Maria Lima purchased this House in 2012
Why Maria Lima chose Centro - Supmza. 001
It is located in Downtown Isla, called Centro, sitting right on the beach and the ocean in front is filled with little fish. The walk to the Centro area where all the restaurants and shops are is just 3 blocks. The location is just excellent.
What makes this House unique
Although you are renting a house, you have the support of the hotel next door for anything you need, so if you have any special need during your vacation at Aqua, Playa La Media Luna staff is there to help you.

Perfect House in Perfect Location!
This is a gorgeous house in a beautiful, perfect location. It is right on the best part of the beach and it is also walkable to downtown, but quiet and private. It was also very clean. Maria is a great host and very communicative and accommodating. I recommend highly!!!
The direct beach access and large private pool were incredible. We would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed spending a week at Casa Aqua with our two grown children! There was plenty of room and we each had our own bathroom and bedroom.
The staff was kind and helpful. The pool and grounds were spotless, as was the house itself.
The direct beach access cannot be beat!
The only negatives: The key situation was a bit confusing, there were too many different keys and some did not fit any locks at all. Also, the air conditioner did not work in one of the four bedrooms, but we didn't need that room, so we didn't ask for it to be repaired. I'm sure they would have fixed it if we had asked.
The kitchen had everything we would have needed to cook with if we had wanted to, but we love eating out while we are on the island. It's just a short walk to many restaurants and shops, and there is plenty of space to park a golf cart if you choose to rent one.
We felt safe during our stay there.
The house seemed to have been recently renovated. Beds are comfy, pillows are so-so. Lots of closet and drawer place, but not a lot of clothes hangers.
Overall, a great experience and we would definitely stay again!
Fantastic Location and all around amazing trip
We had an amazing stay at Case Aqua, truly the best. You can walk to downntown and you sit right on Playa Norte. The house is large and could easily accomodate more than the 6 people we had. The AC in the bedrooms is great and super cold. The beds/linens are very comfortable and the wifi works well. The house inside is spotless. The pool is small but nice. There is plenty of pool furniture and umbrellas.Neutrogena bath products and safes in all the bedrooms are both great. Plenty of gated parking for bikes or a golf cart. Very quiet and safe feeling and just steps from the sand & sea and gorgeous sunrise/sunset views- All around great stay and great house well suited for families or a group of friends.
Below are a few suggestions/observations that, in my opionion, would make this house perfection. However, I dont want any of them to deter someone from staying here or to infer that we didn't have a fantastic time. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. My suggestions are truly meant to be constructive.
The kitchen needs a larger refrigerator for a house that accomodates 8. The cookware needs to be replaced because all of it has peeling teflon. The house lists a grill, there isnt one. Clean the pool daily or at least every other day. It was cleaned once during our 8 day stay and In the summer heat, with 6 people swimming, it really needed more frequent care. The lock to the beach access door was inoperable when we arrived and wasn't fixed until our 2nd day restricting our access to the beach. This could have been identified by a cursory pre-checkin inspection to make sure all was well prior to new occupants arriving. The water jug was 1/3 full when we arrived and empty by day 2. Although we asked, a refill didn't show up for 3 more days. Perhaps an extra could be left in the house to avoid this situation from happening in the future. We could never get beach towels at the hotel. Each day we asked, we were told to come back the next day, Maybe some beach towels could be left for use in the house. The front right bedroom shower has no cold water, so it is either hot or dripping. The key ring for the house needs some basic color labels on the keys so you can identify which of the 12+, nearly identical keys will get you into the doors. Add some board games or playing cards. Add some beach chairs, umbrellas and maybe a cooler that can be taken to the beach.
Anyway, it was overall a lovely stay. Thank you Casa Aqua!
Very private and secluded even though you're steps to all the action. We had 4 couples and had more than enough room. The A/C works great. Would stay here again. The pool was great and you can't beat being steps to Playa Norte.
We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Aqua! The home was absolutely wonderful. There were only 4 of us, so we had plenty of space. The cleaning lady was very nice (and thorough); we always had fresh supplies. The kitchen is well-stocked with any appliance you might need. We used it on several occasions for breakfast and lunch. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was awesome. We spent many nights floating and enjoying the private pool.
The home's location was awesome! Situated on a lagoon with great (knee deep) snorkeling - you could explore for hours. The lagoon portion is very popular with tourists and locals alike, so the beach much was less private than we had hoped. Playa Norte is a short walk away, with its beautiful beach and turquoise water as far as the eye can see. There are plenty of restaurants and bars also close by, and downtown was a short cab ride.
The house is associated with the hotel next door. You have access to their pool and facilities, which is a nice bonus, although we did not use them.
Our only complaint was the private access to the beach. The pathway to the beach is indeed private, which invites strangers to use as a changing room, bathroom, and peep show. The house staff do not maintain that pathway (or at least they didn't during our stay) so we went out our first day to bag up the trash that was left in the bushes.
Other than the pathway issue, I would recommend Casa Aqua to anyone looking for a nice, relaxing place to stay!
Beautiful clean house
There was 8 of us that stayed at the house (4 couples). There was more than enough room. The house was in a perfect location. The pool and beach were incredible. Maid service was every other day and that worked out great. I will book another stay here!!!
