Each of the multiple tiered levels has something to grab your attention. Whether you want to spend time discovering the variety of plants and trees or just take a load off and relax in any of the many sitting areas and nooks, it’s there to enjoy. Part of the inside space was just remodeled including a complete bathroom makeover. The cozy kitchen is equipped with all the necessities to prepare your favorite meals and the office offers space to catch up on work and/or accommodate extra guests.

About Steve Hogan
I am an avid traveler and explorer. I enjoy doing a variety of outdoor activities most of which are readily available within a short distance right here on the central coast. While I’ve spent the past several years getting to know the area, I’ve only scratched the surface and look forward to many more years of further exploring this wonderful location.

Why Steve Hogan chose San Luis Obispo
After an extensive search inside and outside the U.S. for the perfect 'get-a-way spot', California's central coast eventually hit the radar screen. Then, I spent four winters RV camping in the area. During this time I explored just about every neighborhood between Nipomo and Paso Robles. Eventually, San Luis Obispo hit all of the criteria points. The next task was to hone in on exactly which neighborhood offers the best fit. I wanted to be just off the beaten path to avoid too much downtown hoopla, yet still be able to easily walk to all of the amenities. As it turns out, the Jennifer street walking bridge offers a perfect buffer that establishes the edge of downtown on one side and a quiet neighborhood setting on the other. Once the historic railroad district was in my sights, it was a matter of waiting for the right home to hit the market. Then, one day during one of many neighborhood searching tours, a for sale sign appeared on the perfect house, the perfect lot and in the perfect location. The rest, as they say, is history. Along with having a great property, I'm also excited to be able to easily hop on a train and go north or south to literally get anywhere else I want to go without the hassle of driving.
What makes this House unique
Once you get to see the inside and outside of this house, there's more to grab your attention nearby. For starters, the property backs up to Terrace Hill open space. From the back of the lot, you make a left which leads you to a hiking trail. While it's a little bit of a steep climb to get to the top (approx 5 min), you'll be nicely rewarded as you take in the birds eye view of the entire city and beyond. From this vantage point, the overall scenery reminds me of a life size railroad set that a hobbyist would replicate and build in a garage or basement. Additionally, if you trek up for a sunrise or sunset, the colors can be spectacular. Another nearby attraction is the easy access to the bike path which starts at the Jennifer Street Bridge. From here you can go for a stroll or ride along the path. Or, take a visit to Sinheimer park (approximately ¾ mile). At the park you’ll find tennis courts, a public swimming facility and even Frisbee golf. In the summer, you can also catch a Blues baseball game, the peanuts are great!

Perfect for our weekend!
Great humble cottage style home tucked in a quaint neighborhood in SLO. Back yard was neat as it slopped upwards on the hill side. Very quite area with low traffic. Great living room with huge tv and nice little kitchen perfect for a weekend stay. Very relaxing!

Great location, comfortable, unique, cozy home
This was the perfect spot for my husband, daughter, and I. We were in SLO for my daughter's orientation at Cal Poly. This house was close to everything, walking distance to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood with trails for morning walk - and great for our golden retriever as well! The home has a small, cabin-like feel but has upgrades to make it very comfortable. The back yard that climbs the hill behind the property iprovides a great spot to listen to birds in the morning, or enjoy the surroundings in the evening. We would certainly stay here again when we come to visit our daughter in college this next year!
This beautiful place in San Luis Obispo was full of character. The outdoor area was charming and full of flowers and birds. The inside could use an update. One bed, the only real bed was comfortable, however the other fold out couch was dated and extremely uncomfortable. No way to sleep more than three in the whole house. Could use some fresh towels and new bed. Our family stayed for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our time in the garden and whole place. Off the beaten path..backed up to lovely tiered garden.

Rental quotes to include a $75 cleaning fee per visit. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Cancellation policy for VRBO listing 480633: 1) Pre-paid rent is 100% refundable, less any credit card transaction fees, with written notice up to 45 days prior to the check-in date. However, with special event bookings, this part of the refund policy shall not apply. With special event bookings the policy outlined under paragraph 2 will be applicable. 2) With less than 45 days notice, the pre-paid rent becomes non-refundable. However, if enough notice is given and circumstances allow the ability to re-coupe some or all of the lost rent by establishing a new rental arrangement during any part of the designated rental dates. A full or partial refund (less credit card processing fees) may be issued as both parties work together in good faith to minimize losses.
