The apartment is located on a sunny and quiet residential street in Pacific Heights, in the same block where author, Amy Tan, lived early in her career.
The sweeping views from the large living room and dining room offer snapshots of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay and are perhaps the highlight of this spacious one bedroom property. The newly renovated apartment, (to sleep four), has an architect’s touch, and includes wonderful oriental carpets, great artwork, and stunning chandeliers throughout. The gracious living room with wrap around windows, has a fireplace, flat screen TV, and new sofa bed; the dining room boasts coffered ceilings and wonderful original art; the kitchen is brand new and complete, with high end appliances, stunning tile, Blue Danube china, Dansk flatwear, and hand blown wine glasses, Dansk pots and pans; the master bedroom has a Danish rosewood headboard with Ralph Lauren linens, new mattresses; a new full bath with shower and tub; and a private laundry and bike storage room.
The apartment has access to a shared backyard, and a wonderful, productive Meyer lemon tree. In the tradition of Alice Waters and Chez Panisse, you can pick your own lemons and make your own dressing, for a world class salad with greens from Northern California farms!

About the owner: Our family has invested in real estate in San Francisco for almost two decades, and one of our favorite properties is 1856 Green, in Pacific Heights. It is a small residential apartment building, on a quiet, sunny street, just one block from great restaurants and world class shopping on Union Street. I can’t wait to be living here full time! The panoramic views from the large living room and dining room are glorious, with snap shots of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay. The high coffered ceilings, large rooms, and wide hallways provide a relaxed elegance to the environment. We have spent the last winter renovating the bathroom and the kitchen, with high end appliances and laundry; choosing Ralph Lauren linens for the bedroom; re-doing all electrical systems; selecting and hanging chandeliers; installing wifi and cable TV; and selecting furniture and artwork from our home in Nashville. Voila! After a few daunting moments, it is perfect.
