About Brandi McLain

My husband and I are local from Luray, Va. We have a beautiful baby son, and two dogs. We love our family time together, and we wanted to have a place where others could have family times and enjoy the cool mountain air.

Brandi McLain purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Brandi McLain chose Shenandoah Valley

We used to live in this cabin until we out grew it when we had our son. We loved the cabin so much we couldn't part with it. So we decided to let other families enjoy it too!

What makes this cabin unique

This cabin has fresh spring water, beautiful views of the Shenandoah Valley, and cool mountain air in the summer. To relax we have 4 person hot tub.

Best Birthday Ever!

  • 5 of 5

My husband & I just loved the cabin to the point of not wanting to leave. The week just wasn't long enough. Brandi was a sweetheart! She assured us that she was there for us if we ever needed anything. We got it as a last-minute deal and I'm grateful we were able to find this. It was like a honeymoon all over again. We did some exploring, went to the zoo--but mostly we enjoyed the solitude. In my work, I'm around chaos almost on a daily basis and it was good to just sit back and exhale for a week. Enjoyed the location, the beauty of the surroundings, the coziness of the cabin, etc. It was a wonderful stay. Hope to do this again! Thank you, Brandi!

Weekend getaway and hot tub to top it off!

  • 4 of 5

My family and I really did enjoy our stay. The hot tub was key in relaxing every night under the stars, fire pit to top it off. You are extremely secluded from any other neighbors. The house fit our family of 4 plus my in-laws just fine. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. We've stayed at different places that didn't seem quite as clean. This cabin was very clean. I loved the sunroom and even fell asleep out there once. The driveway up was a little scary at times, just a heads-up. Although, my in-laws had no problem getting up it with a Honda Civic. Just had to be careful. So overall great experience. If we decide to visit Shenandoah area again we would come back to this house! Thanks Brandi! I'm giving it 4 out of 5 only due to the highway....She was very honest about that so I knew before going the highway was there. Positive thing about the highway is you are never too far from the towns you visit.

Nice place but needs some work.

  • 3 of 5

Overall we enjoyed our time here, yet found the yard difficult to enjoy. The grass and weeds are all overgrown and made us afraid of ticks and mosquitoes. We used the hot tub but not the patio or fire pit. The house was a little beat up as well- the bathroom door won't latch and the mattress in the bedroom squeaks loudly with any little movement. I woke up every hour or so each night because the mattress was so loud. The house and dishes/ utensils were clean. We didn't realize there was only a window unit for air in the main living room, so we were also really hot while sleeping. There was no fan in the bedroom and the window was shattered so we couldn't open it. This place could be really cute and nice if some repairs were made and if the grounds were kept up.

Cute, clean, peaceful mountain cabin

  • 5 of 5

Cozy cabin in great location, near Luray. Luray is a wonderful valley town with genuinely nice people. Cabin is nicely equipped. The hot tub with a valley view was perfect after a long day. Would definitely return!

The owner was very accommodating and helpful.

Family Vacation

  • 3 of 5

The house was perfect for my family. We had a lot of fun it is nice that we were secluded. It was a little hard finding the drive way. We were greeted by a woodchuck as we drove up the driveway. We loved the hot tub especially after hiking! The kitchen was well equipped too. The only thing was the mattress in the bedroom it was very stiff so my husband and I ended up on the pull out couch! My kids loved the bunk beds. It was a great vacation and the house is located near luray which was nice too! We made some great memories!
