Family-Oriented, Classic Beach Home: The Beachroost

Bedrooms 7
Space 3,800 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 nights

About the property

7 Bedrooms, 2.5 Kitchens And The Beach!

Walk out the backdoor, across the patio and down onto the most beautiful beach in Florida! The fine, white sand is waiting to sift between your toes. With 7 bedrooms and 2.5 kitchens to make sure you rest and eat well, we welcome you to a great family vacation home. We also want to keep it simple for the vacation budget - our rates include taxes and housecleaning so you don't have to add anything more to understand the true cost.

Whether it's for the sandcastles you'll build, the seashells you'll find or the wildlife you're likely to see (rays and dolphins are not uncommon), this is your home away from home. Enjoy the surf and the sunsets from the patio or the swing on the balcony. Walk the beach and come home to a recliner to nap in the afternoon. Gather around a table to play a game. Then go out to eat and enjoy the bounty the gulf has to offer. Tomorrow do it all over again, but maybe include some frisbee time, body-surfing, putt-putt or shopping! The Beachroost is one of those vacations where the memories will last a lifetime ...

Did we mention that our rates are inclusive of all taxes and fees? Be sure you are comparing sand dollars to sand dollars as you look for your next vacation home! Also, as a family home we do require the person who signs the rental agreement to be at least 30 years old, financially responsible and be present at the house during the rental.

About David Bryant

Our family rented homes on this very street as our annual beach vacation getaway for many years. The decision to purchase The Beachroost as a second home was a natural extension of our desire to spend as much time at the beach as possible. Some part of our family is almost always thinking about heading to the house when it is available. We love the fall and winter months, taking advantage of the cooler temperatures to strengthen our local friendships and take long walks on the beach.

David Bryant purchased this house in 1986

What makes this house unique

As a classic beachfront home, there is an emphasis on bedrooms and kitchens, of course, but the giant griddle in the kitchen is perfect for preparing a family pancake breakfast before heading out to build sandcastles, collect shells or enjoy the surf. The first floor sunroom, the patio, and the upstairs covered deck give you a 180 degree view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. When you've had enough sun, there are plenty of places to relax and read or maybe get a family game going around the kitchen table.

Should you ever need to leave the house (but why would you?) , restaurants and attractions for the whole family are a short drive away.

Perfect beach vacation rental for a large family!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a the Beach Roost for the first two weeks of August and all agreed that it was our favorite beach house ever! Our family has been going to the Panama City Beach area for 60 years and we are now four generations. Finding the Beach Roost was like striking gold for us! Year after year we spend time searching for houses for the next year as we either outgrow the ones we rent or aren't happy with them. The Beach Roost was so spacious and had three wonderful living areas that accomodated us so well. There were always games being played, books being read and TV being watched by someone in our large group, yet we all felt like there was plenty of privacy. The upstairs balcony was marvelous and many hours were spent there reading and visiting. The view there was incredible! David was fantastic to rent from and even gave us a discount for renting two weeks. That was a first for us and so welcome and appreciated! We plan to rent it again next year and are all looking forward to our time there. The kitchen was very well equipped. That was so nice because we cook all of our meals and eat together every day. Thank you David for sharing your marvelous beach home with us!

Great for families

  • 4 of 5

We had 20 people staying in the house. Everything was very nice. The griddle in the kitchen was amazing. We used it everyday most days more than once. Everyone loved sitting up on the deck. It was a great view. The only thing i would change would be some of the beds. And put more kings and queens where all the full size beds are. And to our surprise the nest is separate from the house. But it worked out for us. There is alot of outside doors which is fine but if you have small kids it can be a little worrisome. The upstairs family room was great for our kids. It gave them there own space and they could watch tv and play. We used the sunroom alot for playing games in the evening. All the parking was very great. We had one problem the A/C stopping working in the nest. They did a temporary fix for the night and came back the next morning and fixed it. They had plenty of bath and hand towels. Could use a few more washclothes. Make sure you have your own trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher detergent and laundry soaps. As there was no extra trash bags. Very little dish soap and dishwasher detergent. And provide your own laundry soap which is understandable. But all n all everything was great and we would most definitely stay again. The Nicks pizza across the street is awesome!!

Thank you for always answering all our questions.

Classic old beach house

  • 4 of 5

House is exactly as advertised with plenty of room and an abundance of the necessities to accommodate a very large group, we had 16. Kitchen was fully stocked with more than ample pots pans, cutlery, coffee makers blenders etc. Lots of towels. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water and a/c. The washer/dryer setup was appreciated. The house is large enough for anyone to easily find a quiet place to lounge. Plenty of parking and an easy walk straight onto the beach. Excellent fishing right on the beach in front of the house. Would Highly recommend.

I would give 5 stars but the wifi is not adequate for todays lifestyle with everyone from the very young to the eldest having some sort of connected device. Wifi range is not an issue as it can be picked up anywhere in the house and surrounds. The issue seems to be more one of bandwidth and/or service.

We brought my daughters softball team to Florida for spring training. The field we used was beautiful and we didn't have to take care of anything. Was able to bring all our food to the pavilion for their lunches. The house was great and the owners were very nice! They were quick to answer any questions we had. The upstairs worked well for the team. 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms, there own small kitchen and TV room. The main level had two bedrooms and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The downside was there was no common bathroom. We have a male coach who traveled without his wife so he took a bedroom in the apartment. The other coach had his wife so they took a bedroom with a bathroom in it in the apartment. Two bedrooms but only one bathroom. The single coach always had to ask to use the bathroom as he had to enter the bedrooms. The kit hen was perfect for all the food we prepared for the team. The griddle was awesome! Loved seating the 10 players together at the table. The beach was clean and beautiful. The girls loved walking it. The deck was beautiful with the swing and hammock. The window does not open in the small bedroom in the apartment though. All bathrooms lead outside which has was different. The street behind the house was crazy busy but being downhill from it helped with the noise. They loved being close to everything though. The escape zone was a great team building thing to do.
