About the property

3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath lakeview home. Private association beach, pool, tennis.

This comfortable Dollar Point home offers 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths with lake view, well equipped kitchen for dining at home, laundry room, and off street parking for up to three cars (additional street parking with room for a boat trailer available in summer). Dining table seats up to 8 with leafs installed. Breakfast bar at kitchen seats 3. Gas grill provided on the deck. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware, microwave, coffeemaker, new fridge and dishwasher.

The upstairs entry level has the great room with kitchen, master suite with queen bed and private bath, a half bath, a second bedroom with queen bed, and a deck. Downstairs is a third bedroom with two full size beds, a full bath and laundry room. Please note the lower level also has a separate in law unit occupied by an owner's family member and a very friendly golden retriever. :-)

On site you will find wireless internet, HDTV with DISH satellite, DVD, VCR with several old VCR movies, and Redbox DVD rentals just a block away at 7-11. Cards, boardgames and backgammon are provided.

Absolutely no pets, no smoking, no e-cigs or vaporizers, no fires or open flames are permitted on site (gas grill excepted).

Located in the Dollar Point neighborhood your stay provides access to popular HOA amenities including private and gated pool, beach, tennis and play areas. The recreation area is just one block away and has a large swimming pool with diving board, early morning lap swim time, a large deck area with lounge chairs, changing rooms and showers. Within this private gated area are three well maintained tennis courts, a children's playground area, large lawn in a wooded park setting that includes volley ball, bocci court, shuffle board court and even a small putting green. Tennis instruction with the on-site Pro and swim lessons are available. Two more HOA tennis courts are located by the beautiful sandy south facing private beach. The beach has restrooms, boat pier, umbrellas, picnic and barbecue areas, all just a short drive down the hill in Dollar Point. The USCG boat launch on Lake Forest Road is just minutes away.

Tahoe City is just three miles away with several shopping, dining, and recreational choices. The local paved bike trail system's northern end is at the Dollar Point entrance and provides access to Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, down the west shore to Tahoma and points in between. There are four bikes and helmets available for use at the house, or rental bikes available in town if you choose.

Nearby recreational opportunities include a casual raft trip on the Truckee River, fishing, hiking, golf, boating, kayak and stand up paddle board rentals or an aerial tram ride at Squaw Valley. The Nordic Center is just 5 minutes away and offers hiking, trail running, and mountain biking, and of course x-c skiing in winter. A visit to historic Truckee or Northstar Village provide additional world class golf and lift accessed mountain bike park opportunities about 30 minutes away. Sunday afternoons enjoy free Concerts at Commons Beach in Tahoe City (June 22nd thru Labor Day). Lively summer nightlife can be found in Tahoe City or 15 minutes away at the North Shore casinos.

June 22-29, 2014 is Adventure Sports week with several competitions, clinics and films for athletes. Other summertime athletic events include Ironman, Tough Mudder and the Wanderlust yoga festival.

Winter activities nearby include skiing at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Homewood, and Northstar resorts all about 10 miles away. The Tahoe Nordic Center is just 1 mile away, and Tahoe City Winter Sports Park is just 3 miles.

Truckee airport is 17 miles and Reno-Tahoe International is about an hour away.

Friendly owner, well located in Dollar Pt, reasonably priced, and with access to a very nice pool and activity area (2 blocks), and the private beach ( 1 mile).

Great location and value.

We stayed in this home for four days. There were four of us that stayed in the home which was very comfortable. We were in the area to ski at Squaw Valley and Alpine which is a very short distance away.

This home is just a few minutes from local shopping and restaurants.

Our plans to stay at this home were made just a day prior to our arrival. The owner communicated with us in a very timely fashion which we very much appreciated.

The home is well maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped.

We would recommend this home to others and would certainly be very happy staying there again in the future.

Good value

We were very happy with our experience here and plan to stay again winter or summer. The place was very clean, well stocked and was generally well taken care of. The view of the lake through the trees is beautiful. There are three good bedrooms with bathrooms so plenty of space for everyone.

Reasonably priced and very well-stocked

The previous reviewers have it nailed. We might add that the homeowner's association facilities, which renters are allowed to use, were great --- a large swimming pool, tennis courts, beach, ping pong, bocce and shuffleboard courts. Owner and son were very helpful in quickly assisting us if we had any questions or problems.

great place

This property was so nice. It is in a very nice and quiet neighborhood. It is convenient to Tahoe City and the surrounding attractions. Easy access to the main living area with no stairs to climb. The great room was spectacular. Every morning while we were here I would awaken and go into the great room to watch the sun rise over the mountains across Lake Tahoe. The kitchen was equipped with anything you could need. The great room and bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. The property was very clean when we arrived. The gas grill on the deck worked great when we grilled steaks after the Super Bowl with ample bottled gas and a backup bottle if needed. I cannot think of anything negative to say about the property. The property owner was great. I was able to make arrangements with him on extremely short notice and he was so easy to work with and his son and his son's dog were very friendly as well. The dog is a beautiful animal. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area of North Lake Tahoe. It was just as advertised.

Very well stocked home with excellent views

I agree with everything the previous guest said. This is a great place for 2/3 families. We were 6 adults, 2 kids ( 10 and 14) and 2 infants. The house is very well stocked with all that one needs on a vacation...we could have left a lot of our stuff back home. We had family style breakfasts and dinners and the kitchen had all that we needed and more. The linens were a plenty.

Kids enjoyed sledding just outside the house and a long walk around the development was breathtaking. There are 3 Ski resorts nearby..we skied Squaw and Diamond Peak.

Fred was great with communication and all my questions were answered promptly.

One of the up stairs bedrooms does get a bit too hot...we just shut the vents and that made a difference.

We hope to comeback again later in the Season.
