Perfect for what we needed. My husband and I had several options for dinner and drinks within walking distance. We came in for a concert and we were also able to walk to the venue. The space was very clean and tidy, it had everything we needed. With only being a small living room/kitchen area, storage hallway, bathroom and one bedroom it felt much bigger, not crapped at all. The bed was very comfortable! Afton was extremely polite and accommodating. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone staying in Austin.
Perfect Little Nest!!
Loved this apartment. Perfect for 2 people. It was everything we were looking for, great location. A real gem!! Would love to come back!
Clean, updated, great location
This was the perfect place for my daughter & I when we stayed in Austin for 2 nights. Very comfortable, very clean and located in a great area too. The owner was very accommodating. The only downside is that it is attached to their home and they have small children, who you could hear crying. This in no way bothered us, as the crying wasn't at a time when we were trying to sleep, as it was nice and quiet at those times. Very great stay, thank you!
Perfect for our girls getaway trip!!
We had a wonderful stay in Afton's apartment. The unit was very clean and comfortable looks just like the pictures on the profile. Perfect space for a couple or single traveler. I stayed with my friend who slept on the sofa bed, they supplied comfortable linen for her. The pull out was very nice however I would not recommend for an older person or someone with physical limitations as it is very low to the floor. Location is perfect for walking around to so many places to eat. A short walk to La Barbecue, Juan in a Million, The White Horse. The East Austin neighborhood is full of great spots to walk and soak up the culture. The people were very nice everywhere we went. Uber is everywhere so if you're not into walking around in Texas heat they were only ever 3 mins away. Afton and her Husband were very kind and accommodating. They were only a text message away yet offered their guests full privacy. 10/10 would stay here again or recommend to a loved one.
Perfect Place to Stay!!
This was my first time doing an AirBnB and it was great. I was in town for a work convention at the JW Marriott.
The place is Affordable. Modern. Clean. Comfortable. Peaceful. Conveniently located to downtown. I walked in the mornings to my convention. There's so much culture in the surrounding community to take in. You can rent a bike or scooter. I rented a bike twice.
The host was accommodating and hospitable. They were nice. Everything needed was provided. The sheets and towels are of fantastic quality. I would definitely stay again.
The only negatives are there is no cable (there is WiFi) and you occasionally hear a child crying, running or playing. Coming from someone in their 30s with no children they were fine. It was not a disturbance.
This was way better than a hotel stay and I would do it again.
Best Place I've Stayed in Austin.
Starting the stay I had a few complications coming in and the owner was completely understanding and communicated with me really well. I also stayed while Austin was experiencing 100+ degree weather and temperature inside was not a problem, even so I was given the option for it to be cooler at my convenience.
So, the place itself is very accommodating for the price compared to most hotel rooms, or really anything I've seen at this price. I wasn't sure if the pictures provided were telling enough but upon arriving it really felt roomy and comforting. The bed is better than mine and the window shades give you as much privacy/lighting as I needed. Also there are two lamps next to the bed. They aren't in the pictures but they're there now.
The bathroom is very clean, and it had all the basics. Hand soap, a dish in the shower for a bar of soap, towels, clothing Iron, hair dryer, and room for other toiletries I had. The shower is also very nice, has room to bathe, and the water pressure is good.
The fridge/freezer has plenty of space and dispenses water/ice. You can see that in the pictures but I figured that I would mention it since I always forget how much I like having that.
That goes for just about everything in the room, now let's talk about location. The location itself isn't to far away from anything you need but depending on the weather you might want to consider having a ride to get closer to events in the city. I found that a ride to or from the distance to the Austin Convention Center itself is only about $5 by ride share and there isn't much traffic on the way there since you only just cross under the highway right before you get there. Traffic was pretty light most of the way there. There are plenty of restaurants, convenience stores, and food trucks along the main boulevard next to where you're living. I wish I could list them all off and what they provided but I didn't eat at all of them since Austin is filled with them.
That's about all that I can share about my stay other than Communication with Afton (owner) was solid and very nice which put me at ease when my trip was getting stressful. Highly recommend staying here if you're staying in Austin for whatever period of time and I'll definitely consider it again in the future.
