About Pam Andrews
My husband and I live in Colorado. We've been visiting and working in Santa Barbara for years. We also looked for the perfect home for a couple of years and finally found it in 2017. Hopefully, we can live there full time when we retire in a few years.
Pam Andrews purchased this House in 2017
Why Pam Andrews chose Mission Canyon
Being from Colorado, we love nature and space. While downtown is beautiful, the homes there were just too close and small. We fell in love with this mid-century modern house because all the windows make it feel like outdoor living and the privacy in Santa Barbara is unique and refreshing. Yet we're only 5 minutes from downtown. A perfect place for us.

Even better than the pictures!
This is a beautiful and comfortable home. We had everything we could possible need. The place was clean and organized and we want to go back as often as we can! I would highly recommend this home if you're looking for a true home-away-from-home that's conveniently located in a serene environment with amazing views.
Beautiful quiet location and comfortable roomy cottage; lovely patio and back yard. Close to town.
We had a great time staying at this place. We could really make ourselves "at home" and enjoy all the Santa Barbara has to offer. We loved being in the foothills and close to the Botanic Gardens and Rattlesnake Canyon, because we are birders. We found some other locations and saw many birds while enjoying lovely walks. As others have commented, the beds are really comfortable! The place delivered on all that was promised in the property description and more. We'd love to come again.
Great house! Great host!
House was well equipped and very comfortable! The couch and beds were wonderful. The back patio is delightful. Excellent location! Host is very communicative and accommodating. We would love to stay again!
Such a tranquil house with everything you could possibly need
We spent a few weeks here and it was just like being at home. It's so quiet and comfortable. The beds are amazing from the mattresses to the linens.......all top of the line. Big screen tv with Apps, Bose wireless speakers, wireless router........all the conveniences of home. The kitchen is bright and is stocked with all the kitchen gadgets you could need. But the best part was the outdoor spaces that were private and furnished for relaxing and living outside. Only 5 minutes from State St made it convenient to dining and shopping and just a short drive to the beach. We will definitely go back.
Quiet and private house
We spent a week enjoying Santa Barbara with this house as a great place to come back to. Hiking right up the street and 5-10 minutes drive to anything else within Santa Barbara. We would definitely return.
Perfect place to call home away from home!
Pam’s Mission Canyon house was the perfect place to call home for almost two weeks in August! There were some location concerns prior to booking as we initially sought out homes within very short walking distances to State Street. With our rental car we easily drove to State Street in about 5 minutes! What we really couldn’t appreciate until we got there was the distinct sense of privacy one feels when at the house, yet minutes away from everything. We developed a deeper appreciation for the tranquility of the home and location after busy days out and about shopping, scenic drives, or at the beach. Without doubt an amazing home to come home to!
The home is extremely practical in its layout and very comfortable to live in. The sleeping experience is amazing from mattress to sheets. It reminded us of a similar bed experience at the Marriott Rive Gauche hotel in Paris’s 14th arrondissement. The home is so welcoming that upon arrival, in typical teenage fashion our 13yr old daughter chose her room and started unpacking. Life was good after that! 😉
With access to so much fresh food and the great farmers markets we made great use of the kitchen and the patio grill! Just about every cooking utensil you will ever need is provided. We happened to arrive the day before National S’mores Day (Aug, 10) so sitting out on the back patio making s’mores over the (gas) fire pit was the cherry on top! My wife enjoyed the back and front patio (off bedroom) for morning coffee and reading. Santa Barbara is one of our top three places to recharge and Pam and her husband’s Mission Canyon home was the perfect place to do so for our family. Thank you Pam for being such a thoughtful, great host in opening up your home to us. We look forward to being your guests again!
