Why Martin Rodriguez chose Santiago De Los Caballeros
As parents of two kids, it was also extremely important to feel very secure; therefore, we chose this community and thought of every possibility to make this place as secure as possible where you can enjoy your stay and have peace of mind. This is a gated-private 4 families community with your own parking spot.

Very Modern, Clean, Secure and Safe Condo
After reading the reviews for Martins property, I decided to book the condo for 2 days. When I arrived to see Martin's place and seen how nice and secure the apartment had been kept, I immediately rented it for 4 more days.
The neighbors in the building are very friendly; even if you don't speak any Spanish like me. The neighbors are much better then some of the neighbors I have back in Virginia. They speak to you every morning.
I'm a very picky person, when it comes to an apartment being functional, clean and safe. The oven is electric, which is understandable, but we cooked a full chicken in the oven and it came out wonderful in about an hour or so. The apartment had really good air-conditioning in every bedroom and warm to hot water. The beds were very comfortable and lots of towels were available. The apartment standards were certainly one of the best. I've stayed in some high-class hotel my first day and paid $130 and the hotel didn't come close to being nice as Martin's apartment. The only possible small downside, which is in fact a plus for me from a security stand point is that the apartment is on the 4th floor and the rosters wakes you up in the morning. Also, you can get deliveries for cost of 50 cent delivery charge on average. After staying at Martin's place, I wanted to purchase the place from him. On my next trip to Santiago, I'm renting this exact apartment.
Cumplió todas mis expectativas
Me llevé la mejor experiencia. El lugar es precioso y el apartamento está equipado con todo
Great Vacation Home
Property is well maintained and it is very secure, It has AC in all bedrooms and water heater. Communication with property manager was great. Check out process was simply. I had a very good experience with this property.
We loved our stay here. Spent 5 mights here. The apartment was very clean and everything was just as pretty as the pictures. We loved being able to have the option of doing our own cooking and wash there. The mini splits in the bedroom worked really good and we were able to sleep well at night. We went to La Sirena a very modern grocery store not far away to pick up some food items. I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the Santiago area. Very secure location.
Best place in Santiago
Every time I’m in Santiago, this is where I stay.
Our Santiago Stay
ZoeMa was our second stop on our whirl-wind tour through the Dominican Republic.
We chose to stay at ZoeMa for a number of reasons:
1) Our daughter is in a study abroad program at PUCMM (University). The location was relatively close to the college and near the apartment of her host family.
2) The location had great security.
3) The price was right!
The apartment building is very new, only about a year old. Santiago has been the longest drought in the past 30 years. 20 months without rain..... until we showed up! It rained all three of the days we were there. Not a steady all-the-time rain, but there were some pretty hard downpours. Unfortunately, we came home to some leaks. The second and third bedrooms had leaks as well as the stairwell leading to the apartment. I want to be clear that this was Martin's fault, but it is something that was an issue for us. Martin was extremely responsive when we contacted him, but it was not something that could be fixed in the short time we were there.
As for the apartment, it was clean, with plenty of towels and bedding. The appliances are all new and the a/c was nice to have. The balcony had a view of the mountains; a nice place to sit with a cup of coffee in the mornings. Martin provided us with a large jug of bottled with (with a filter) and some wonderful coffee.
If you go, be prepared, you aren't in the middle of things. We didn't see public transportation nearby. But, we were able to Uber most places. Even though Uber is set up to take credit cards, there is a significant card fee for the vendors, so some of the Uber drivers are not willing to pick you up unless you indicate you will pay cash.
We enjoyed some meals in the Los Jardines. Also, our daughter arranged for us to take a mural tour of oldest neighborhood in Santiago. It was AWESOME! The tour guide has worked with the neighborhood and gives so much back to the community. Look for the tour on insta by searching muralesdeciudadesrd.
Thanks so much for your feedback. The leak has been fixed and all is now perfect. Please come back to visit us soon.
