About Cindy Trubee
Mike & Elaine, high-school sweethearts who have been married for 37 years, are beach lovers. Elaine enjoys shelling the shores of the Cape and Mike's favorite activity is long walks to the tip of the Cape. Their 2 grown children, Michelle & Mark, love visiting Cape San Blas with their spouses. We all love relaxing and enjoying each others company at beautiful Sunset Pointe.
Cindy Trubee purchased this House in 2007
Why Cindy Trubee chose Port St. Joe
We chose Lion's Paw because of it's secluded and breathtaking location. The 'Real Florida' wetlands that the home is located on and the short walk to the pristine beaches offer a all-encompassing idea of what Florida truly is.
What makes this House unique
Named Lion's Paw after the famous children's novel by Robb White, Elaine has worked hard to instill a bit of the classic tale in the home. Children and adults alike will love the 'ship bunk room' on the second floor. Hanging beds and a rounded ceiling will transport you inside the pages of 'The Lion's Paw.' While you are enjoying the beach, bring along our provided copy of the novel and you'll fall in love with the story, too. Perhaps you will even discover a Lion's Paw shell or two hidden around the home.

Escape to beat all Cape Escapes!
Perfect in every way...good beach access, convenient pool, wonderful house...and all the way at the end of the Cape. So private and peaceful!
Very convenient to the state park and a great value.
We loved Lion’s Paw. A few minor issues that I hope will be cleared up in the future. The interiors are luxurious, beds comfortable and well equipped kitchen. We came down for the opening of scallop season and was not disappointed. Very easy to get in and out of with our boat. Getting to the beach was a little more difficult than we hoped but we didn’t come for the beach. It was perfect for what we came for. We will stay again!!
Beautiful home, close to beach and community pool
The pictures really don't do it justice, the home is very nice. Very comfortable for our family. Super quiet street. Nice covered carport made loading and unloading very easy. Great sized laundry room. Nice screened in back porch.
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful and comfortable home. So enjoyed the front porch & rockers.
Great family stay
We had a wonderful time at Cape San Blas and the Lion's Paw was a quaint place to stay and convenient to the beach. We looked past the damage of the hurricane and saw things for their beauty. We loved the setup of the house, it worked well for our family. There was plenty of beach equipment to use...thank you for that! The beds were comfortable, although a king in the master bedroom and a lock on the door would be appropriate. A few other things we would recommend are minor, but would make a better experience. The Direct TV had issues and remote would malfunction. The house was surround sound equipped but the receiver was removed so we couldn't listen to music. It would have been nice to have more towels and wash cloths for the kitchen and bathrooms. We cooked a lot of meals at night and breakfast in the morning. The stove worked but the fan did not so we had to open doors to air out the kitchen. The lower bedroom had a leaning footboard so we didn't use that bed and the toilet upstairs made a horrible noise so you couldn't flush it when people were sleeping. Other than that, there were other minor issues but we just didn't use it or ignored it. We realize it's hard to keep things perfect in a rental. Overall, it was a great stay and the things we needed most (hot water, comfortable beds, a cold refridgerator) were available.
Fantastic home, incredible beach, this place is perfect for family. We highly recommend it, and we cannot wait to it book again. Three cheers for The Lion’s Paw!
