Here at La Boheme, you're not just visiting The Big Easy; you're LIVING it! Become the quintessential New Orleans bohemian in the most vibrant and eclectic neighborhood of New Orleans! The Bywater area boasts a fascinating population of young professionals, artists, musicians, performers, bartenders, waiters and more! These are the people that are your hosts and soon-to-be friends that you will want to re-visit again and again! The area boasts some of New Orleans' best local flavor restaurants and unique watering holes. I share the other side of the lower house with my two dogs, Flora and Tommy who also enjoy meeting new guest.

We were in the bywater neighborhood for a wedding so Richards place was very convenient. His rental was beautiful, spacious and he is a gracious host. I would stay there again and recommend it. Good walk to the french quarter but cabs/uber and lyft very available.
Very well maintained and comfortable
Lovely host, dogs, and property. We felt totally at home, and hope to stay again next year!
Great Visit in New Orleans
Loved staying at Richard's place. Location, apartment and hosting was all terrific. Hope to stay there again soon.
Comfortable and roomy - Great Location
Richard was an excellent host and we enjoyed visiting with Flora and Tommy. The apartment is roomy and very comfortable. Love the art work on the walls. Great location with parking out front. Would definitively recommend and will return.
Charming... Authentic... felt like home
This home was perfect for our 3-night stay in NOLA. (We were 4 adults on a Mother-Daughter trip.) We were able to experience ordinary lifestyles in the city and were also in easy reach of the Quarter for food and fun! We walked (about a mile) to Jackson Square in the mornings and took an Uber ($10-ish) back home at night.
The house itself is very old and quaint — unique (antique) furniture pieces and great New Orleans art! We loved it! It is not new and it is not perfect, which we preferred to a hotel or modern construction. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows. Kitchen was great — well furnished, and we were treated w/bagels and fixings in the fridge when we arrived.
Bonus features were the neighbors! Friendly and helpful! The owner was away when we stayed, but his assistant (John) was super. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us a brief run through of the house and neighborhood, including tips for getting to other areas in the city. We met the adjoining neighbors as well; all very nice. (Note: Neighbors were noninvasive; but, we enjoy meeting people so we engaged in conversation.)
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the pups — Flora & Tommy. Flora hung out on our porch most of the time, but was never in the way. We let them in the house a couple times; both were sweet and obedient.
I would definitely book this home again when visiting NOLA!
Great place - friendly neighbors!
The house is lovely, very comfortable and has everything you need. In addition to some beautiful photography on the walls there are also great dogs living on the property to befriend. Richard was very easy to work with and we loved meeting him. Will definitely stay here again when we get the chance.
