on another site: website blocked

Please visit that site to read 20+ great REVIEWS.

One review here on vrbo mentions 'under construction'... we've since finished this and the unit is now Complete. We've covered the issues mentioned by that guest, including replacing all appliances in the Kitchenette (new microwave, new toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes, etc).

This Suite includes a bedroom and private bath, with small kitchenette. Separate entrance.

Has A/C (air conditioning), WiFi Internet, TV, etc.

The main house and detached unit face one of the best beaches on Oahu, and has been featured in magazines. Amazing views from the Patio !

On our beach, you will find tide pools with Hawaiian sea turtles, monk seals, plenty of sandy beachfront, and epic surfing right out front.

There is patio area with Dining set to enjoy your meals -- and enjoy the most breathtaking view that will make you feel like you discovered 'paradise found'.

This patio offfers a grill, as well as some beach gear and surf-boards (available to rent for

$ 10 /day ).

The quaint surf village town called 'Haleiwa' is

a short 5 minute drive... has lots of great restaurants, surf shops, art galleries,

boutiques, post office, dive shops, activities, etc.

This lovely and exotic property sits very far from main road of North Shore (no road noise at all).

Most homes on Kam Hwy butt up to all the road noise.

Kitchenette offers a full size Fridge, countertop / sink, microwave, blender, toaster oven, coffee

maker, hot griddle, pots & pans, and dishes, etc.

About W. Lela

We live on Oahu, so we are able to meet the needs of our guests. Moved to Hawaii ten years ago, and never looked back.

I can help recommend many places to see and things to do in Oahu. Aloha ! ~

W. Lela purchased this house in 2007

Why W. Lela chose North Shore Oahu

We are avid surfers & our family loves everything about the islands !

What makes this house unique

Home is on a large lot (over 24,000 sq ft) at End of a private road. This ensures that you hear no road noise, and it offers lots of privacy.

Very secure location, and best part is that we are 5 minutes to Haleiwa Town, 5 minutes to Waimea Bay and Waimea Valley.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What an incredibly beautiful location this is! The front door opens right to the ocean, and waking up to this is amazing. The host was very good with communication. Use of the snorkel gear and boogie boards was very nice. I will say that the condition kitchenette wasn't the best I've seen, but the location and amenities definitely made up for this.

We would happily stay here again!

Adorable surf studio in FANTASTIC location!

  • 5 of 5

We live on the mainland, but Hawaii is our "second home." We usually stay with family when visiting the islands, but this time we wanted to stay in Haleiwa, our favorite place on Oahu. This studio really surpassed our expectations and was worth every penny of the (VERY moderate-for-its-superb-location) price! The unit is separate from the main building, totally private, and literally right on the ocean on Oahu's North Shore. We were able to go for early walks on the beach every morning and fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean every night - what more could you ask for?

The studio is actually quite sizeable and easily would accommodate two or three guests comfortably. There is a nice living area in addition to the bedroom. Is it Turtle Bay? No, but who wants that anyway? And for this location, you cannot beat the price. Believe me, I've looked! Staying here, we felt like locals, not tourists holed up in high rise. The owners kept in contact and were very responsive, kind, and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who loves the North Shore and wants to experience real Hawaii. We will certainly be renting again.

Great beach front studio

  • 5 of 5

Let me start the review by saying location location location. We loved the location right on the beach.

The only people who ever came were surfers who were in the water and it felt like we had our own private beach.

The bedroom was a wonderful place to crash after a long day sight seeing and exploring the North Shore.

Very comfortable space, clean, cool surf vibe decor. Bed was very comfy, and nice Bali style furnishings

on the covered patio. This patio is where we had meals, it's shaded with roof and the ocean views are splendid.

The kitchen room is separate and also serves as an area where property owner keeps surf boards,

diving gear, etc. It is dedicated to the renter of Studio, though the cleaning lady did ask for permission to

get in to grab some extra linens or something. She was not a bother, and she only did this once during our visit.

We would gladly return to this property again, location near Haleiwa was perfect for us !

Had a great time here

  • 5 of 5

The description on the listing was accurate, the kitchen area is no frills, the bedroom was lovely and bed very comfortable. But what the Ad didn't fully describe was the fantastic outdoor patio, quite large, facing the most beautiful ocean views. This patio was covered with a roof, which we really appreciated during hot days.

Host took great care to furnish it with nice Balinese pieces, very exotic and pretty. This patio was private, we had no intreraction with guests staying at the main house. The Studio itself is detached from the main house so we actually never saw the other renter, we only knew they were there because of the extra car in the parking area. Now to the best part... the beach right out front. Walk out of your studio bedroom, cross over a small

grassy area and you are literally on the nicest beach in Hawaii. The clearest blue water, lots of colorful fish,

and an outer reef to protect the swimming area from waves. So perfect. Can't wait to come back, this little piece of heaven really made our vacation memorable.

Owner's Response: Jill and her friend came to Oahu at an unfortunate time, we just had a small storm and the high winds had made quite a mess of the property's yard area. On top of this, our cleaning lady was unable to make it to our place to get the unit ready for the guests, she was stuck due to the bad weather. VRBO was able to relocate guests to another location, we are sincerely sorry that the accommodation was less than satisfactory, it was just bad timing. If you return to Oahu, we can comp you a free night, under better circumstances of course.

Worth the money but......

  • 4 of 5

If you are on a budget and don't spend a lot of time in your room, this place is for you!!!! Many sites say that they are right on the beach.... I can tell you this one is REALLY RIGHT ON THE BEACH. The room is small even for two people and the "kitchenette" really isn't. They do have a full size fridge and a microwave, and coffee pot but that's about it. The gas grill is good size out on the porch. There are actually 3 rentals at this house. The other 2 are MUCH nicer and accommodate more people. But for the money we spent per night and the amount of time we spent actually in the room was perfect for us. We were out traveling most of the island for most of the day and would come back to the room for dinner and sleep and that's about it. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, there were plenty of pillows, but we always bring our own. Parking was only a slight issue, and only when someone brought more people over than expected or brought in more than one vehicle per room. I would recommend this place to any of my friends, but remember you get what you pay for. The less money the cheaper the place. I would make the recommendation of adding a screen door to the front door so you could leave the door open at night to hear the ocean and ceiling fans in the bedroom and one on the porch. It would help eleviate the A/C running for the cool nights. It's also in a GREAT location between Halewia and Sunset Beach. So you can travel in either direction and be at a local hot spot. Great place and would stay there again.
