Beginning April of this 2016, we will be remodeling the home and updating some of the furniture throughout. With this in mind, a few updates to our stay guidelines have been made. The most apparent is that we will no longer be accepting pets and the minimum stay time will increase to 1 month.
If you have stayed with us in the past, we want to thank you for business. It has been a pleasure hosting you in our home. Best wishes and safe travels.

Marci Thompson purchased this house in 2007
El Milagro was built by Linda's father in 1995 and we purchased it from him in 2007. We were not looking for a second home, but we had fallen in love with the house, the location, and the unobstructed views of several of Tucson's mountain ranges! Since then we have updated the home and added an upper patio with a fireplace, along with an outdoor cooking area.
Unique benefits of the home - El Milagro is situated to maximize the views. It is a very private, peaceful and comfortable home and yet, at the same time, you are within a short driving distance to national and state parks, restaurants, shopping and world class golf. We hope you enjoy our little piece of paradise.
We stayed a full week for a family reunion. We had a great time. Patio, views, house itself are great to relax, relax and relax.
We traveled to Tucson to celebrate my niece's high school graduation. We decided to rent a house so we could all be together. What a delight staying at El Milagro turned out to be. The place looks amazing in the pictures, but is even more impressive in person. Perfectly nestled on a hillside, the home provides beautiful views from every angle. The beds were unbelievably comfortable and the house was clean and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the backyard the most. We played games at the patio table, soaked in the hot tub, grilled out and enjoyed the outdoor fire place (It was unusually chilly for this time of year.) We didn't want to leave. The property manager, Marci, was very helpful and accommodating. We would love to come back.
For the past 20 years my wife and I have been visiting Oro Valley and staying in different condos or homes... this home now tops our list of favorite places to stay. The home is located atop of a small hill and has incredible views of the mountains in the east, the golf course to the north and the Oro Valley from all directions.
We spent each morning sitting at the patio table, sipping our coffee while watching the quail, dove and cotton-tail visiting the backyard.
Our family from the Pacific NW stayed at this magnificent home. For most it was their introduction to southern Arizona and Tucson. We and they thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the house, and the wonderful setting. The house was very clean, very comfortable, and decorated beautifully. From the gardens you can see the primary mountain ranges particularly Pusch Ridge and the Catalina Mountain range. It is close to shopping, golf, Catalina State Park (great hiking), and all that Tucson has to offer. For us it was a family reunion but our smaller townhouse nearby did not offer us enough space, and so we enjoyed El Milagro: the outdoor barbeque grill and perhaps most of all just sitting on the patio watching the sunsets. Recommend this property highly. Tucson is about living outdoors and El Milagro welcomes you with just that!
We had the most spectacular time at el Milagro! The location was great for us, very easy to get to attractions in every direction, but the house, grounds and pool were so wonderful, our group of 4 spent quite a bit of time "at home" as well. The views are beautiful in every direction and we saw some amazing sunrises and sunsets as well as an incredible lightning storm many miles away. A roadrunner visited one day and snatched up a lizard. There was a beautiful and huge owl outside almost every morning and a group of quail who made their way around the property every morning and evening. Especially loved the views from the upper patio. The house was well appointed, we found everything we needed and more. Loved the Tempurpedic mattress and double shower in the master bedroom. The neighborhood was peaceful. We enjoyed downtown Tucson, Saguaro West, Catalina State Park, Desert Museum, ate at some excellent restaurants and dined on the patio as well. Ken and Marci responded to our questions right away. What else can I say -- it was great!! We'd love to come back again!!!
El Milagro is heaven on earth. We could not have been happier with this home. Location, location, location, and all of the wonderful things that make a home a home. Great pool and hot tub, marvelous outdoor kitchen. We stayed for a week and could have stayed for a year. The kitchen was to die for, the decorating was top notch, and the very private location was the best. We absolutely will come back again and again. Thank you!!!
