This is our REAL DIRECT OCEANFRONT in Building L Corner Unit #108. There are only 3 DIRECT OCEANFRONT buildings. BUILDING L IS THE MOST SOUTH BUILDING ON THE 13 ACRES. Unit l 108 is located on the NORTH END of the L building. It is as close as you will get to the ocean!

The condo is a Corner Ground-floor unit, refreshed, renewed, remodeled, bright, modern and new furnishings added.

From your private lanai you have a lovely area to sit and dine or just relax with nothing but the crystal blue ocean and the famous Maui sunsets in front, FRONT SEAT WHALE WATCHING from our lanai.

The condo is totally renovated and updated. Tile thru out the condo and new cabinets and granite and paint. New ceiling fans and 2 split air conditioning units, one in the living area and also the bedroom. A new, queen-size pull-out sofa adds to the easy living comfort of the unit. Also for your enjoyment is a 40 in. flat screen TV, Blue Ray DVD, I-Home stereo that can connect YOUR personal I-phone, I-pod, I pad and nano.

Complimentary cable/ Secure WIRE-LESS INTERNET service is available directly from the condo.

This spacious unit surrounds guests with Hawaiian informality while providing all the conveniences of home, including a full, completely equipped kitchen and a washer/dryer in the unit. The bedroom features a king-size bed, split a/c units, built-in closet, ceiling fan/light and lots of windows for light. Bathroom has tiled new shower with glass door, also Double vanity sinks, ceiling fan, granite and new paint and cabinets. This is better than home!! Come and relax!! We had a great time here in Maui. It was really worth us flying some 18 hours from Finland to this beautiful island. This was our 1st trip to Maui but hopefully not the last. A Sunny Dream

Our stay at Unit F108 was wonderful. We loved how everything was so close. (Stores, restaurants and the beach) The condo was convenient being on the ground floor and so close to the pool. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed. (beach towels, soft cooler, beach chairs) One suggestion would be to replace the styrofoam cooler with a plastic version. Also, shades so you can look out the slider and still have privacy so others can not look in would add so much more to this beautiful unit. When 6:00 came around each night there would be many people watching the sunset and we felt like we were in a fishbowl. This took a day to get use to. When we realized what everyone wanted to see you can't blame them for standing in front of the unit. Sunset watchers would leave by 6:30. The unit is perfect for whale watching, sunsets and so much more. We had a fantastic time and everyone at Papakea and Bonnie the manager were always kind and accommodating to us. We would recommend this unit as a great place to stay.

Beautiful condo in great location

Loved our stay at this condo. Perfect location steps from the water. End unit condo which provides plenty of light. I was amazed that the unit was supplied with absolutely everything we needed during our stay. Appreciated having a washer and dryer in unit. We will be back some day.

Amazing place

This condo was fantastic! It was all exactly as described in the listing and more. Pictures didn't lie. All you truly need to pack is your clothes and swimsuit. The condo was stocked with everything you need to cook(minus the food of course). What an awesome experience to sit on the patio in the morning and night watching the waves and relaxing. The pools were great and the property as a whole was maintained very well. Walking distance to get groceries and restaurants. I would definitely stay at this place again!!

Super cozy place with stunning island views!!!

We spent a week here and really enjoyed the place. Very clean and well appointed the unit has a connection to the ocean that is fantastic. The pool, barbecues, tennis courts and putting greens are all great. I highly reccomend this spot!:

Miss lead

I am giving the property a 3 because the information of the location said it was quiet and private, and the picture showed that there was sand right on the other side of the rock retaining wall just outside past the Lanie. I chose this particular condo because of the discription and because of what the picture portrayed. I came for 2 weeks and needed the quiet and the privacy because of a 40 day yoga/meditation program I started.The amenities in the condo that were provided were fantastic. Pull out couch and master bed were wonderful! I was looking forward to some quiet private time. There were 32 people standing right outside off of the Lanie who gathered to watch the sunset the first night I was there. There were also 2 other people who participated in blowing shells as the sun set ( this was cool and unexpected). Because the pool house and the pool are right next to the unit, and there are slats in the window in the bathroom and in ALL of the doors in the condo, when I was in the condo I could hear people as the pool hours are from 9 am to 10pm. I am so glad that people were enjoying themselves!! It is MAUI!! I LOVE MAUI! I was looking forward to going down to the sandy beach which was portrayed in the picture right outside of the unit. I did walk down a ways to the left and enjoyed another properties beach. I will continue to come back to Maui, however, I will stay down on the SW side where the sand is abundant and I am familiar with the properties and there level of privacy. This condo is certainly right for someone, just not me for my particular needs for this trip.

Owner's Response: Aloha Dana, I am very surprised that you gave my condo a review of 3 stars. I understand after reading your review why you did, and I think that it could have been a miscommunication problem as it was your husband who booked the condo for you. I am sorry your particular needs were not met on this trip. The Papakea has been working on the Seawall Project since Dec 2015, and will finish in Feb 2017. I do know you might not have been aware, as you were not the person to book my condo. I spoke with Jason who did the booking and answered question about the property pre Booking on August 7th. Also noted on my vrbo site, I do mention the Seawall Project work, and that is why the deeply discounted rates at my condo at this time. Since the seawall work is completed in front of the building L ( my condo building) the other guests who are staying at the property (13 acres) were the 32 people who possibly came down to see the sunset.. at the ocean side. I am sorry... Maui has had the worse winter on record, very high surf, beat up all the sand and the beach areas. This is not just a Papakea Resort beach problem, hence the reason for the Seawall work to save our beach. I could have and would have moved you to another remote condo building If you had call me, I only heard from you when you called about the TV remote. It is a shame that you didn't call me. I only hope that your next visit to our island will work out better for you. Mahalo
