Perfect place to relax. Dining room had a beautiful view of mount hood. Highly recommended!
Our condo was clean, modern, conveniently located and well supplied with kitchen gear, dvd player and good beds. I would stay there again.
a fabulous location with superb staff, great condo, great pool, great grounds, great locals and travelers met
I needed to give this place a better review. This condo was perfect for our family. We have 2 small boys and I was looking for a place we could spread out without having to stress out about moving lots of things out of my 1 yr olds' reach. This condo was perfect, basic, comfortable, kitchen with all the amenities, kids' blocks, bunk beds (always a hit) and comfy furniture/big screen tv. We blocked the stairs with the kitchen table bench and felt safe letting our kiddos roam. We had no problems with cutting boards, coffee maker or the sofa/living room seating. I would recommend another standing lamp in the living room for reading at night. The natural light was wonderful in the condo, and although we didn't get to see Mt. Hood from the kitchen window (darn rain) we knew it was there. This condo is near the highway so there is intermittent road noise but it tapered off by 10:30 and after walking the complex, I would have a hard time believing any of the condos didn't have some road noise because they all sit within 1-2 blocks of the highway. It was Memorial Day weekend as well. We also LOVED the giant "leisure" pool outside (think giant hot tub) where our kids were able to "swim" when it was 50's and rainy. Loved the location close to hikes, Timberline Drive, and Government Camp with yummy High Mountain Cafe. Overall a great weekend, just wish the weather would have cooperated, but we did get to see the mountain once we drove up to Timberline and got above the clouds! Loved it! Would definitely come back and bring friends as well, as there was plenty of room to spread out.
3 60ish age couples stayed for 3 nights for family together time. Had a nice kitchen & dining area for cooking & game playing. Had a nice view of Mt. Hood from kitchen window. We were glad we brought our own chopping boards as ones provided were skungy. Coffee pot did work but was awkwardly designed & inconvenient.
The living room was not very comfortable. 1 good chair but broken springs in sofa. We brought a couple of camp chairs so had enough seating that otherwise wouldn't have been adequate. Could pull hard chairs from dining room but not comfy.
Beds were fair. Linens were worn. We were here in Summer and was quite warm. No A/C. Bedrooms got hot at night so we opened the windows but as it was close to the road, it was very noisy & difficult to sleep.
One irritation was that none of the outlets in the bathrooms worked so we couldn't use blowdryer in bathroom in front of a mirror. We reported so hopefully it will be fixed in the future.
There were lots of stairs. 16 up to the main floor. Then 16 more up to the bedroom. It was fine for us but some might have difficulty with this.
Location was good. Convenient to walk into Govt. Camp for restaurants. Several nice trails to walk close to facility for pleasant outings.
This Chalet is located in the heart of Government Camp. During the winter guests enjoy the short walk to Mt. Hood Skibowl, where they can ski all day and all night!
