1) Noise potential. Owners live upstairs with 2 dogs and sometimes works night shift. There is a potential for noise from upstairs (footsteps, muffled sounds from the TV, occasional dog barks). A white noise machine and soft foam earplugs are available for light sleepers. Quiet hours of 11pm to 8am are always respected and can be discussed/adjusted for guests. If you are very light sleepers or sensitive to the sounds of normal living coming from up stairs, this may not be your ideal rental.
2) Ceiling Height. This unit is a daylight basement and has lower ceiling clearance than what you might be used to. People taller than 6'3 will have to mind their head when crossing some thresholds so as not to bump their head. I've had long-term tenants and rental guests who are 6'5 and taller who have been perfectly comfortable in my unit, but if you think this may be an issue for you, this might not be your ideal rental.
