About the property

Newly renovated 3 bedroom close to beach

This quaint cottage nestled at the top of a hill is surrounded by woods and has a new wrap around deck which provides a breathtaking view of the exquisite clear blue water of Crystal Lake. It is the perfect combination of privacy and relaxing serenity on top the hill and all the convenience of a 1/2 blocks walk to the public beach, park, tennis courts, restaurants and local shops. At the base of the driveway you are connected to the Betsie Valley Trail. This is a 22 mile bike/hike trail which runs between Frankfort and Thompsonville.

You are minutes away from two boat launches, a day dock, and boat rentals of all kinds. There are so many things to see and do in this area. Just to name a few . . . the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, M22- Michigan’s Scenic Highway, Point Betsie Lighthouse, Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa, Arcadia Bluffs Golf Course, Crystal Lake Golf Club, Winery tours, Interlochen Arts Academy, Little River Casino in Manistee, shopping in the Leland, Glen Arbor and Traverse City.

There are many other area lakes to fish in addition to the fishing in Crystal Lake, the ninth largest inland lake in Michigan and deep water fishing in Lake Michigan just 7 miles away. Enjoy the swimming and relaxing in the sun at the Crystal Lake Beach, Lake Michigan in Frankfort, or tubing to the Mouth of the Platte River in Empire.

We rent Saturday to Saturday.

Why Scott and Nancy chose Beulah

Crystal Lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan. This area has no much to offer as a vacation location.

What makes this house unique

We fell in love with the location. It's so close to the beach and downtown, yet so private. You aren't right on top of the property next door. It's the best of both worlds.

Very nice home to spend a vacation to explore the area

  • 4 of 5

Home had a great deck to enjoy the view of Crystal Lake. We enjoyed the restaurants in Beulah especially for having breakfast. It was an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, and Traverse City. The house was very comfortable and had everything that you would need.

The Wilkersons

P.S. Also enjoyed the fire pit and it was nice not to have a neighbor right next to you.

lovely view

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our time at the cottage. The spacious deck with a view that is even more wonderful than in the pictures and lots of comfortable seating is worth the price of admission, so to speak. It is very well kept, well equipped and comfortable. We had a 3 month old baby with us and the steep drive and stairs up to the top floor made it not ideal for our party, but this should not deter others whose situation is different.

Better than Hoped For

  • 5 of 5

I have visited Crystal Lake almost every summer since I was 6 weeks old. I love the area (the fishing, the swimming, the shopping, the eating) and now I have a new thing to love. The view from the deck of this house! The house itself was clean and comfortable. The older kids loved the downstairs room and the fun steps leading upstairs. This really did feel like a home away from home. I am looking forward to many memories made at this house!

The house was great! We enjoyed the privacy the hilltop provided. The deck was spacious.

The bonfire pit was great as well. The only reason I gave this home 4 stars instead of five is because there was only 1shower.For a house that accommodates up to 10 people they need another full bath. The property was located near lots of attractions.

Owner's Response: We are so glad our guests enjoyed their stay. Although we advertise that there is only one full bathroom, we realize that a second full bathroom would be optimum and do have it as our next renovation project to expand to a second full bathroom with shower.

We had a really great time at the hideaway. Beautiful view. Walk across the street to the beach; close to the quaint downtown for pizza/coffee/beer. Scott and Nancy were very accommodating and quickly solved one minor little problem we encountered. The house was nicely equipped and the kids enjoyed having their own little hideaway in the basement bedroom. The lake was gorgeous and great swimming. In fact, all was pretty much perfect except for the last day when the kids got swimmers itch. Don't take it lightly! But it added to the memories.

Cozy and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Scott and Nancy's cottage. The home was beautiful, cozy and equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every morning having coffee and then a cocktail in the evening watching the boats go by. The view off the porch was breathtaking! We visited Frankfort which was a great town with an awesome public beach. We also visited Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Pt Betsie. The only negative was it was very hot the week we were there and didn't get much sleep because there was no central air. They did provide plenty of fans and Nancy was always very helpful if we had any questions. I highly recommend this cozy place and our family would definitely go back!
