Wonderful Family Week for Londontown Wedding

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 9 adults and 3 children rented this house for a week to celebrate our daughter's wedding at Historic Londontown. It was perfect for us! Views were incredible! Fantastic house for entertaining. We had a picnic (for around 20 people) at the house on Memorial Day to meet the groom's family from England; and also hosted a brunch for 50 people the morning after the wedding at the house. The caterer set up in the large kitchen and there were plenty of tables and chairs (inside and outside) for everyone. The women also got ready at the house for the wedding; Londontown is a short 10 minute drive from the house.

The owner was very accommodating and always accessible; and answered all emails/questions promptly. Security deposit returned to us promptly.

The property sits on the end of a peninsula with incredible views, but also abundant wildlife--we saw deer, red foxes, bald eagles, ospreys, turtles daily. The large, clean, well-maintained pool was wonderful, especially with the water views in the background. Morning coffee out by the pool was so relaxing. Again, the views were just gorgeous. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, utensils, etc and there was a laundry on both floors. The downstairs theatre room had humongous big screen tv and the hot tub was the fanciest hot tub we've ever found in a rental property.

The property was unique for the Annapolis area in that it had lots of parking space, but it also was back a private road, which we enjoyed. We could take our granddaughters for a walk without being concerned about traffic. A simply wonderful rental house for a family to spend a week together.

Map

The United States Naval Academy is located here and tours are available.

The Maryland State House was the capitol of the United States from November 26, 1783 to August 13, 1784. In that State House, oldest in the nation still in legislative use, General George Washington resigned his commission.

Hammond-Harwood House is one of a series of historical homes open for tours. This treasure of a colonial mansion was designed by architect William Buckland and built in 1774. See colonial-era architecture and 18th century period furnishings including furniture produced by cabinet maker John Shaw, and paintings by portrait painter, Charles Willson Peale.

William Paca House is one of the most interesting historical home tours due to its fabulously restored gardens.

Annapolis is the sailing capital of the world and sailing cruises are a must on your visit
