The neighbourhood is quite peaceful. There is so much to do within walking distance. Enjoy a local lunch at a quaint little café called 'Friends' a 10-minute walk. Have a Piton beer at one of the local vendors on Vigie beach a 10-minute walk. Interested in the island's history? Visit the National Archives a 10-minute walk. Breath-taking views can be found at the Vigie Lighthouse a 30-minute scenic walk.
The neighbourhood is filled with history and is also home to the Saint Lucia National Archives. It is safe and reasonably quiet during the day and on weekends. This area is a popular place for people to exercise (joggers and walkers) on an evening. The long stretch of beach offering numerous spots to lay in the sun or chill under a shady tree. There is a beach facility offering local food, cold beverages and a nearby taxi stand.
