About Sue Mills

Mom and Dad built this beautiful home for their retirement. Now that they're gone, we've opened up the family get-away to visitors of Estes Park, the Rocky Mountain National Park and the surrounding National Forests.

Sue Mills purchased this cabin in 1978

Why Sue Mills chose Front Range

All of our guests comment on the big windows that have such a wonderful view of the mountains and the river out front. You'll enjoy watching a variety of wildlife from the comfort of the living room or the deck in front, as well as the backyard.

Mule deer, elk, wild turkeys, bobcat, mountain lion, fox, bear, golden eagles, marmots, stellar jays, magpies, coyotes, porcupine, etc. etc. etc. have all been seen strolling through the yard and around the neighborhood.

What makes this cabin unique

Avoid the hassle of traffic and parking in town.

Climb to the top of Old Man Mountain and into the RMNP from the back door, or walk to the Elkhorn Stables for horseback riding in less than 5 minutes. Downtown shopping and dining is only a 10-15 minute walk.

Performance Park Amphitheater is an easy 10 minute walk to outdoor concerts and other events throughout the year.

Cozy, clean, well maintained & close to retail shops

  • 5 of 5

Will recommend to friends & will be back if we return to Estes Park. Elk visited back yard. Saw a lynx down the rode. Wifi was fast & satellite TV was adequate. Would be even better if clothes washer was available. Hot tub was clean & hot. Nice linens and plenty of towels. Owners cat visited a few times, very lovable. We made a great choice. Thank you Sue

Our second visit to Fall River Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family has stayed here twice and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves each time. The location is incredible; minutes away from downtown and from the park, but still feels remote and private. The property is very comfortable and family friendly. The owners were very friendly and accommodating during our stay. We hope to be back again soon.

Very nice stay

  • 4 of 5

Our family stayed for a short four days and had a lot of fun. This house was very nice and had everything that we needed and more. The only thing that we needed was washing machine and when we asked Sue (the owner who lives downstairs) she said to just come downstairs to use hers. We used everything that the house had to offer...barbeque grill and hot tub, etc.. Everything worked very well and it was so relaxing to be able to sit in the hot tub when it cooled off in the evening. If we get to opportunity to visit Estes Park again.. we will try and stay here again!

Super clean! Great location!

  • 5 of 5

The house is super clean, spacious, has everything you need and is less than a mile from downtown Estes. There are beautiful views out the large front windows and front deck. The hot tub on the back deck was great to relax in after a full day of fun and has a great view of the night sky! Sue, the manager, was great and very friendly. If we get back to Estes we will definitely book this place again.
