This 141 sq.m. (1500 sq.ft) apartment is situated on the second floor of this elegant post war apartment mansion. There is an elevator.

The apartment is centrally heated for the colder months, and there is air conditioning to the master bedroom. The rooms are pleasantly arranged off the elegant 6 m. (19 ft.) long hallway. The living room and dining room are inter-connected and span the width of the mansion, some 22 m. (41 ft.) and both benefit from bay windows. The living room is well appointed with furnishings etc., and is decorated to a high standard, with two large settees, built-in bookshelves and cupboards, fire place (gas); flat, large screen TV with cable channels; wi-fi. The dining room has a fine extendable oval table with six chairs and a fire place (gas) . There are two large double bedrooms with good wardrobe facilities and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The master bedroom has a second TV. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, dish-washer, washing machine (there is a separate condenser dryer), microwave, and all the usual kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware, and cutlery.

Everything previously written about this apartment is true! Very charming, spacious, and comfortable. Loved the location, with transportation, great restaurants and great shops close by. Beautiful neighborhood, too.

Wonderful Apartment in Great Location

We had a wonderful nine days in London and this apartment was perfect for us. It was clean, very spacious for two couples, had all the amenities we needed and we loved the location. It was in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, yet within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, sightseeing locations and the Sloan Square tube station. We felt like we were really experiencing the city, as we walked for coffee in the morning, spent the day sightseeing and had many choices for dinner in the area followed by a nice walk home along picturesque streets. We were very impressed with Fay’s prompt responses to our rental inquiries and would highly recommend this property to future renters.

Location, Location, Location

If you are looking for a traditional English flat experience, this is it. Located in a quiet, upscale neighborhood, there are fine restaurants, museums, shopping and transportation within blocks of your front door.. The apartment itself is spacious with lots of amenities including an elevator, two working fireplaces, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer and a fully stocked kitchen. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone who would like to live like a local in London for a week or two!

Fantastic apartment in perfect location

We just returned from a wonderful week in London dedicated to sightseeing and enjoying the city. The apartment was perfect for us with it's complete amenities and it's perfect location for getting around. We were able to walk to many tourist sites from the apartment and found numerous restaurant choices within easy walking distance every night of the week. (Our favorite restaurant was right around the corner, 3 minutes away). The Sloane Square tube station was a five minute walk and an efficient method to get to any site within the city. Fay and her daughter met us at the apartment upon our arrival and were most helpful to help us get settled in. Can't recommend this apartment strongly enough!

A wonderful apartment

This apartment was perfect for our family of four spending a week’s vacation in London over New Year’s week. The apartment itself is very spacious, with high ceilings, and nicely appointed. It is quiet, facing onto a small side street two flights up. It has all the conveniences, including washer and dryer, dishwasher, wi-fi, and cable. The location is ideal in a picturesque neighborhood, a few minutes walk to Sloane Square and the District and Circle tube lines serving major tourist destinations from Kensington Palace to the Tower. Fay, who manages the apartment, met us at the property on our arrival and was gracious and helpful – although once we were settled we had no problems other than having to leave at the end of our week.

The property is a three minute walk from the King's Road and Sloane Square. Sloane Square tube station gives you access to london’s extensive underground and overground train network. There are numerous bus routes from Sloane Square; and for the adventurous, you may wish to take advantage of the LondonCity/Barclays Bank bike hire scheme as there are numerous bike stands within the scheme throughout central London.

The King's Road became famous as the 'in' place in the 60s with many pop starts and other celebrities making it their home, and to this day retains its special character with cafes, boutiques, bars and restaurant along its length, as well as its own department store (Peter Jones) and the fashionable shopping on Sloane Street.

The property is a one minute walk from Royal Hospital Gardens (the site of the annual Chelsea Flower Show) and is a short walk to the River Thames.

On Saturdays there is a delightful farmers' market in Duke of York Square. Also at Duke of York Square is the Saatchi Art Gallery

Chelsea has its own theatre (the Royal Court Theatre) and live music venue (Cadogan Hall), both at Sloane Square.

Nearby can be found prestige shopping (Harrods, Oxford Street etc.), history (Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Tower of London), Museums and Art Galleries galore, tourist attractions (London Eye, The Globe etc. etc.). Every which way are to be found delights highlighting London’s 2000 year history.

The Royal Albert Hall is a short journey and boasts not only the big music events but go and enjoy live jazz in the evening while eating in the Edgar Room, or live music while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee at the Café Consort. The West End of London, Soho and Bloomsbury boast 30 plus theatres so you could watch a new show every night for a month and still have some left over!

South East England is jam-packed full of history and culture. There are national heritage sites such as Windsor Castle and Hampton Court. There is the Thames with a wide variety of journeys along its meandering course; within an hour's journey is Oxford, Stratford upon Avon (Shakespeare and all that), Brighton with its flamboyant Pavilion, to name a few.

Although we don't have a Mediterranean climate, the weather is generally mild.
