Yes, the location is great and the view is fantastic, but any positives pretty much stop there. The place has not been kept up and it really shows - dirty stained ceiling tiles hanging down and broken brackets, bathtubs can only be used as showers (because the stops aren't there), shower doors that are barely hanging on, bathroom hair dryer that only works if you hold the on switch that is in the holder at the wall (which means you cannot really use it as you have to have one hand on the switch and another on the dryer itself leaving no hands to actually comb your hair!), dining furniture that is majorly torn up, floors that are cracked from one end of the room to the other in multiple places, carpets that are heavily stained (with who knows what since they are all in the bedroom), headboards that are leather (or leather like) but are cracked and slit open in multiple places), HVAC filter assembly was disgusting, all walls were dirty and look like they haven't been painted in a long time. And on and on, but space is limited here (I took pictures though in case there are questions about what we say vs the owner). Even the front door looks horrible but serves as a warning for what is inside.
One issue with the property itself is that the beach access gate doesn't always work - leaving you unable to get back in without going back down to the beach and walking up the beach, back to the street, around the block and back in front to use the main gate. And we especially "enjoyed" the middle of the night fire alarms - we received NO contact information for the property itself and so when the alarms went on and then off over and over we called the rental company who supposedly called the condo desk and they were supposedly told that this happens all the time, but in the morning we talked to the guy at the condo desk and he knew nothing about a fire alarm going off during the night. And on checking out the rental company guy at the desk had no record of any calls coming in about fire alarms.
I read a previous very negative review and frankly thought it was probably not an accurate review but I can assure you that it is (both about the condition of the property and that the pictures don't reflect the current furnishings). It is very clear that the owners are simply counting on the great location and view to get the property booked, with little intention of actually keeping the property up. We will absolutely not stay here again. Avoid avoid avoid!
Don’t waste your vacation time by staying in this rundown unit, it is nothing as you see in the pictures (taking about false advertisement!). I had a terrible experience staying in this in this unit and I would not recommend it to anyone. The rental dayrate is of one that you expect to pay for a 4 or 5 star hotel/resort but that is far from the reality. What your rental fee will get you is a unit full of safety hazardous; such as the bathroom doors not locking, and when they did you couldn’t open the doors to ceiling tiles about to fall off. The shower door was falling off its rail and a dining room chair that almost collapsed when I put my beach bag on it.
The condition of this place was that of what you expect to encounter in a cheap motel. There were holes in the walls; in the main restroom and adjoining bedroom. The bath tub had mold and chipped porcelain, and it looked like it hadn’t been clean for months. Power outlets where coming off the wall and seem to have electrical problems. I left my phone charging overnight and it never charged. I try charging several electronics in several different areas of the unit and the only place I was able to get a good electrical current was in the restroom or kitchen. There was an A/C vent that seem to be failing out of the ceiling. Lets not even forget the walls that needed to be retextured in some areas and painted. The carpet was so disgusting that I did not allow everyone to go barefooted. I have the pictures to prove it.
I have stayed in 2 bedroom units in the past at the building and never have encounter such a unit in total despair. You might asked why I didn’t immediately leave or complain but after an exhausting long day which included an 8 hour drive to attend a graduation the last thing that I would of expected was to end up in such an unacceptable unit. The only thing that got me through this horrible experience was that we only spend 2 nights in the unit and most of the time we were at the beach. Do not waste your money or valuable time in this unit the view is not worth it!!!
